I took my Mopar '11 to the shop last week to install a 3.06 Getrag in place of the factory 3.91 unit. They can't get the car to run even though the gear settings were changed to 3.06 via my Trinity. The car starts off normally, shifts from 1-2 and then immediately goes into 3rd and stays there. Even after stopping, the car stays in 3rd. If the ignition is turned off and the car is restarted, it starts in 1st and repeats the process.
Any ideas?

Re: Mopar 11 Chargers
have they verified that the gears are INDEED 3.06:1?
I see too many cases of wrong gears in the box and nobody bothers to confirm it

Re: Mopar 11 Chargers
Yes, it's a brand new OEM unit from Dodge.

Re: Mopar 11 Chargers
when you go into the axle ratio menu, are there ** around the 3.06 setting?
Also, no offense, but saying its brand new from Dodge does not mean anyone has jacked up the diff, spun a tine and counted driveshaft revolutions to confirm it is indeed a 3.06 ratio.

Re: Mopar 11 Chargers
No offense taken. I was unable to talk with the shop today, so I can't confirm whether or not there are asterisks around the 3.06 setting, or if the ratio has been confirmed. It sure wouldn't be the first time FCA has let me down.
I've been thinking about this a lot and I need to ask another question. When tuning first became available for the 2011+ Chargers, it initially did not work on the Mopar '11 Chargers. Do you have knowledge of anyone with these cars going from the 3.91 to a 3.06 (or any other ratio)? Could there possibly be something different in the PCM and changing gears has never been tested or proven to work with a Mopar '11?
My car (daily driver) has been down for almost a week now and I really need to find a resolution.

Re: Mopar 11 Chargers
the gear change on a Mopar11 is the exact same process as any other Charger, so thats not an issue.

Re: Mopar 11 Chargers
Just to put this one to bed.....
Yes, I had 3.06 gears.
No, apparently the process used for my car is not the exactly the same as any other Charger.
No, the Trinity would not make the gear change.
A dealer tool had to be used to get in and make an adjustment in the BCM.
All in all, a major disappointment.
