just replied to your other post man....

nope... the new revision was just to add support for additional calibration ID's that were not previously supported....

if your current 9r05a is working for your truck, then there's no need to update....

I upgraded to 9r10 from 9t09e in hopes that the "installing bootloader" hangup would be cured but no such luck. Seems like they should figure that one out quick as it might put some new users off right away!

When it gets below 75*f outside i still get a flashing traction control right even with stabilitrac off above 60% throttle and it cuts back power. Performance forums ive talked too say its "Torque management" Sensing too much power and it cuts it back to prevent any long term damage to the drivetrain.

I want to turn this off because im really sick of trying to pass on the highway and as soon as it downshifts and passes around 4500rpm it cuts me back and upshifts me. When u guys gonna do that or can you get me a custom tune with this off?

I just updated my firmware on my 7194 for an 07 Avalanche 5.3l. I stunned that I don't appear to have Torque Management control. Even thought DS website for this product describes it as a feature.....

Seems a little like false advertisement, or did I miss something.

Yeah, it's really kinda misleading because the predator has TCM support on lots of GM models, but not the GMT900s ('07 and up truck and SUV) as yet. Just wonder how much longer folks will wait before jumping to another programmer if they don't hurry up with it?

Go ahead, jump to another programmer, they don't have TCM support either, plus their tunes suck and we have Lew. :)

Good points! Although, I was looking at a Hypertech Max Energy, which claims to have adjustability for shift points and firmness on the '07 and up models along with net updatability so that has to be some incentive for them to get it done.
But you're right, it would be tough to find another Lew! Maybe he'll consider branching out to other products...unless DS puts him on the payroll soon!

ECKS message

Post by vcowan »

Mike, I've been chatting with Lew this morning about the ECKS Msg, it's happening to my Predator now. when I got the Pred I updated to the latest ver.9T09H before I even let look at my car. the first install was O K . It was the 91 Octane tune. then I logged the Items Lew wanted and it it seemed to work as expected. I adjusted the LTFT a bit and again it was O K. Then tried to do another Log and got the odd screen Msgs but was able to download the results O K. Made another small change to LTFT, tried to get another Log and when I tried to download to the PC there was nothing logged that time. I told lew I'll install his custom tune and will try to get a log this afternoon. Let you both know how it works.
Thanks Again .....
Van Sends .....
