Have to remove the email block you put on my address..... LOL

I've tried everything I can think of to get this to work. There is something that is just not right with it. Might have to spend some more time working with John C to see if he can figure anything out.

Sending you another email.

I don't think it's the software man.... I think it's something specific with that laptop you're trying to run it on...

cuz it works ok on your desktop, and works fine for me on my XP desktop and old 500mhz laptop runnin' XP....

time to reformat the laptop and start from scratch hahahahah....

Not that easy. I have about ten grand in control software that is not easily reinstalled. That is a last resort tactic, probably to be preceeded by the purchase of a new laptop.

Mike, ask George maybe? In the past the redistributable has always fixed this.

Just so we are all on the same page... what version of the redistributable are we dealing with. I have tried with both 2005 and 2008. Unless there is something else I am missing.

See This Thread

I don't know what your reference to 2005 vs 2008 is, but throughout this thread I have been assuming you were taking about the installers from that thread.

No, I was dealing with the C++ redistributable files from Microsoft.

When I get home, I will get that package and see what happens, but I am not getting a mfc71.dll error, just a runtime error.

Well, I downloaded that file and loaded it. It still doesn't work.

Don't know what is up with this thing.
