Yeah, no way to affect the AFR at idle without CMR software to change table values not available in the handheld. It sounds like you were pretty close with the 4.5/3/1.5 (added?) setup.

Also remember that the Long Term Fuel Trim IS applied at WOT. So, if you have 5% LTFT and then you reflash adding 3% accross the board, your AFR will actually get leaner by approximately .2 until your LTFT builds up again. Every time you reflash, you clear the LTFT. This sucks because you can't get it perfect with quick tune changes and have it stay there. I guess you have to get it right with fresh flashes that have cleared LTFT's. Then you have to drive it around to build up the LTFT. Log the LTFT and then reduce the fuel by whatever the LTFT is. Then drive it easy for a while for the LTFT to build back up becuase it will be running lean until it does. Hopefully, you will be back to where you had it before.
