I'm using the predator u7164 running the version 9R12A. I'm running the tow tune
unit 1-8u7a-14c204-cg
unit 2-7u7a-14c337-ab
My issue is that when ever the truck goes into regen mode I get a strong exshuast smell in the cab. I put the truck back to stock by taking the tune out and I get no exshuast smell when the truck regens. I've also tried other tunes besides the tow tune and it happens on all of them. One more issue I have run into is the big hesitation in throttle respones while the truck is regening. It takes almost a 1/4 throttle from a dead stop for the truck to respond to anything.

I have a 2008 Ford F250 I bought the U7164 in Jan of 09. the MPG is not that much better goes from 13.8 to oin a good day 14mpg. but the issue I am haveing now is that I took my truck into service but before I did I installed the original performance on my truck. now it will not let me install the this truck I get "Feature not supported on this Vehicle" the unit are

An addendum to all the other issues. I loaded the latest revision u7164-9r12a just to see. Loaded the 80HP tune and changed the shift points dramatically. The tune is in and absolutely nothing changed re shift points at all. As in my posts in another forum the tune does NOT allow me to write to the transmission control module at all. Please note that the custom tune that was written for me DID write to the TCM. Please make sure the new revision actually does write to TCM!

Well I downloaded new update. I installed it in my truck and went for a 40 mile test run around town must say I am impressed. Got up to 19 MPG city with 80 hp tune.

I will be taking a trip to Ocala tomorrow pulling 14000 lb toyhauler. About 200 mile trip. I will keep you posted. Oh yea and no more P2002 code.

Yes you have an L30 and that is supported in the test crom.

I have a Raptor 3812 probably the same weight. I didn't think I would be able to use anything except tow tune to pull it. I'm currently getting 7.3 with the Predator 12a tune.

I would not tow with anything but the Tow tune unless you have EGT and exhaust mods.

Ok here we go again I bought th U7164 in Jan 09. had an isssue with it. Returned it and was sent another one. the best I got out of it was maybe 1mpg better then without it. I have a 2008 Ford F250. 74989 miles on it. before my last sevrvie at the dealer I put the original tune back on and of course Ford. hit me with a reflash. 1st I posted on here but no help not even we are working on it. NOT very happy with your company. I took the DisbloSport Predator to a dealer in town as I have a Mac computer and cannot down load the latest update. I was informed that my U7164 now has a corrupt file and can not update. I know this is a Dumb question but is there any thing your company can do to help. paid $390 and no I have a big A&S paperweight. please all I ask for is an answer. my last post was a few monts ago

fixing application missing or corrupt is very simple, all you need to do is reload the latest update to the tool

OK I would but like I said I own a MAC computer. I can not download or update. I took it a Diablosport dealer here in memphis and I was told there is nothing he can do. so Please let me know how I can update. they tried to update and it came back corrupt file.
