Its tunable, its built on the venerable Chevy small block so it'll last virtually forever, parts are plentiful, its a 4 door luxury sedan, doesn't trip over itself, and has the record for Quickest Production Sedan around the Nurburgring. Not to mention is the worlds 2nd fastest sedan at 193mph, trailing just the $300,000 Bentley Flying Spur Speed (201mph).

Don't even bother trying to dig stuff up. The CTS-V is out of the LX/LY's league. It plays with the M5, E63, XFR and other $90-100k European luxury cars, not $40k American ones. Its already been named the best American sedan ever by countless publications, and nothing else even comes close. Chrysler needs to worry about Hyundai, not Cadillac.
Not every ctsv runs 12.3 but it should. look at the vidio 12.5 motor trend face up to it you spent $20,000 for very little gain

AND this one is really good. Read the desription again. :) Ive run a few of these.

If I could tune it, I would be in the 11's on the stock tire with just a tune alone. But Dodge has to F-us in the A!!!
Chrysler will come around and you will be able to tune it. The CTSV is not as good as they say. We have them run at the track and none of them are running 12.3.

I don't spend all my time at track. I spend most of my time on the street. For that $20k I got a leather, wood and piano black dash instead of the plastic Chrysler gives you. I got a 6 speed transmission, not some hand me down 5 speed. I got heated and cooled Recaro seats. I got the Magnetic suspension thats so good that Ferrari stole it. I got 6 pot Brembos. I got more then enough to justify the $20k, plus a lot more.

You wanna talk up your car, whatever. Just face that fact that its not as good as the V, not even close.

Watch the Vidio top speed on your CTSV 175 mph. Here is a link that gives the ctsv a top speed of 190 mph and the challenger a top speed of 182. Big deal. .

Top speed on the V sedan (manual with 3.73 gears) is a GPS certified 193mph. Automatics are limited to 175 to protect the transmission, but we can be tuned, so that stock limiter is long gone. The auto has shorter 3.23 rear gears, so without the limiter, many have guessed it will break 200.

The V isn't a Challenger competitor, its the 300C SRT8 thats sorta comparable. The Challenger has 2 too few doors. Top speed is 167mph for the C SRT8. I'm not seeing the Challenger doing 182 either. Drag limited top speed is 170 according to Car and Driver, though I've seen a video of 173 on the speedo (not GPS certified, not accurate).

Do yourself a favor, before you try to compare the Chryslers the the CTS-V, or even a base CTS, drive both. I've owned both, I have the wheel time to compare them. You drive a base 5.7 LX. Not in the league of the current LYs, not in the same country of the base CTS, not on the same planet as the SRT8s, and not even in the same galaxy as the CTS-V.

Chrysler did a good job on the new 300c but its still no CTS-V. The V is an amazing car. There were 6 LSA V's at the track a few weeks ago. Most were stock and running 12.4's-12.6's @ 114-116 but there were a few modded ones running in the low 11's @ 125's with just minor bolt ons, pulley and tune.

Spend enought time and money you can make any thing run well. The 392 will get unlocked and it will be a beast. Most people buy it because of the way it looks and its fast and will get faster. The 8 speed ZF trans is coming for the srt. Please do not forget it's a naturaly asperated engine no super charger and its still running low 12s in the 1/4.
