Please try DSDownloader 1.9.5.4.

This version has much longer timeouts when trying to contact the server, so it may work for you. If not, it may provide more detailed information in the error message.

Instead of (code 2) it should say something in the parenthesis. If you do not see the parenthesis then it makes me wonder if there are now multiple versions of DSDownloader installed on your machine? Check the help dialog and make sure you are running 1.9.5.4 each time.

You don't just have a file to download similar to the CROM update version file or is the an FTP server address I can get it from, directly.

It seems that these Aussie cars have European calibration IDs which are not currently supported.
We are looking into what can be done about this.

Yeah it has to be a connection error. The problem with this is that the DSDownloader isn't even allowing us to connect to begin any download. The error comes up straight away without downloading anything.

yeah i dont know anymore im so dissapoint in this right now its not funny. as of right now its a $400 paper weight. I need this to work by this weekend i got time trials at the strip.
