It seems my computer restarted itself overnight which also restarted the intune. So here's the new key to use:

RE: 2007 Charger SRT8 - "failed to read pcm original ba
Nope. It didn't work
I disconnected the battery for 15min...i made sure all electronics were off...I plugged it in and it detected my car fine. I got to the Diablo Tunes screen...but when I selected the tune....i got the same error "failed to read PCM original backup".
I even updated to the latest version 1r01H and tried it again still the same error. I turned on the car too and let it run for 5min....but I still got the same error.
Any other ideas as to whats causing this problem?
Here's my XML info...if it helps at all:

Oh ok. So what's the process of getting a replacement? Do I have to send it to you guys? Or do I contact the retailer? I got it from TdotPerformance in Canada (Toronto, Ontario)

Alright. And is there any difference between doing the tool reset and doing a force calibration update? Jon was suggesting trying that and I have access to the car and the tool right now. I've been trying to call for the past 15min and still on hold.
Do you think a forcing a cal update might work?

Yeah...it did a cal update the very first time I plugged it in. But not after the tool reset.
But I finally got through and spoke to Vas. Went through the procedure to do the Force Calibration Update. It did the cal update just fine...but still when I went write the tune, I got the same error. And Vas also agreed that there is probably an issue with the tool.
So I will contact the retailer to get a replacement.
I'll keep you posted.
Thanks.

RE: Re: similar problem with my 300c 5.7.
I finally received my replacement inTune. When I first plugged it in, it detected my car fine (it didnt do a calibration update though? maybe cause it was already done by the previous tuner?) I got to the diablo tunes and selected the 91 Octane tune but I got the same failed to read pcm original backup error when it was writing. So I plugged it into my PC and did all the updates. When it was done, I plugged it back into my car, tried again (selected 91 Octane tune) and still got the same error. I decided to try again, but this time I selected a different tune (Diablo Tune)....and again I got the same error. I tried the 91 Octane tune again and it worked!!
It created the backup and wrote the tune to the car. After it was finished, I plugged the tuner back into my PC and checked the tunes folder and the files were there. So I dont know if the tries back and forth between the different tunes may have helped...or if I just got lucky. Just wanted to share my process that I used to get it to work...maybe it will help some other ppl having this issue. I will be leaving the tune on my car for a few days and then trying to load different tunes to see if I still run into the same issue.
Thanks Diablosport support for the help...hopefully this has resolved my issue. I will try writing a different tune to my car at another time to see if my problem is completely gone.
Just had a question...what is the "Diablo Tune" option? is that the same as 93 Octane tune? and if it is...what would happen if I put that on and still used 91 Octane fuel in my car? Would it damage the engine?
