just to confirm, it was fine on 1r08, and this only happened once you went to 1r09, correct?
Was the 2nd Trinity you tested on 1r09 also?

Thanks

Confirmed; the problem started with the 1r09.
Prior to that, it was working perfectly well on the 1r08.
I verified that with the other trinity, which had the 1r08h --> worked
When it was updated to 1r09, it gave the same custom tune extra data error.
Both tools work on the Corvette perfectly well, with the 1r09 update.

I noticed something just moments ago; when the tool was plugged, and I chose performance, it asked that the switch should be on ACC, which is the norm. I happened to press OK when the switch was off, and somehow I managed to get to the performance menu without the error message. I did not continue with the modifications, fearing that I may get stuck when there's uncertainty about the tool.. I thought I'd let you know..

Alright, I just tried it.. It basically gave me the error further, but I was persistent, and it managed to give me only ECM mods. I applied the mods, and drove, and concluded ECM mods were active. It gave me a hell of a hard time to restore original backup, but managed to do so.
The error remains there, when the switch is off, and it appears intermittently..
I don't know guys, it seems there's something in particular for CTS-V in the 1r09.. I say we rule out any doubt by downgrading to r08.. What do you think?

no, downgrading is not a good idea, I'll get it fixed for you.

I'd test it, but I can't run on a stock tune, so I'm sticking with 1r08.

Can I please send them through email, for privacy reasons? I really do not want to post my VIN publicly ..

I have never understood not wanting to post a VIN, whats going to happen?
You ever seen how many VINs you can get off google searches?

I need the VIN to test this properly...
