And it's my right to refuse it and complain. I honor your rights, their rights, and you should honor mine.

Teh fact remains, the other car will also have to pay you to remove that tune in some way or another. Just as I will. So even though a tune is on that car, it too is locked, until they buy another one. You are not loosing money. Well... maybe you are... you lost mine and many peoples I work with business with this policy.
You seem to be missing the main point here.

You cant install headers on a car, then magically use them on another car, without taking them off the first car. Right? Do you agree?

If you agree, please tell me how this is any different.

Your friend may as well have installed a set of headers, then told you he was willing to sell them to you, and just gave you the box they came in.

Nobody has questioned your right to refuse our unlock offer at any point...

Absoutely not. Headers are a product I can touch and hold. A tune is nothing but bits, 0s and 1s read by an assembly language on a computer. Code is handled far differently than material objects. This is what I AM an expert in. Code. Plus, it is not MOVED from the predator to the computer in the car. It is copied. Now it can be deleted afterwards if you decide for that, that's what a "move" actually does. And to go further, it's not really even 0s and 1s. it's electrical signals with postive and negative charges that are interpretted as 0s and 1s (Binary code). There may be a compiler between your language in which you use to program it and the binary language so you do not see this. But computers only understand "on" and "off" (0s and 1s).

So again, no, there is no comparison between metal headers you can touch and electricl signals and/or positive and negative magnetic sectors on a storage media device.

Sorry if that isn't very detailed. It's far to difficult and complicated to explain here. Just like it would probably be too difficult for you to explain everything about the details about my Mustang's engine. That is your profession, mine is computers.

Listen, I understand your intent here. I just think you went down the wrong path and some customers are getting unfairly caught in this protection policy you put in place to protect your revenue.

No, we don't deal with engines sir, we deal with computers (PCM/TCM/ECM, call it what you will).

WE designed the tool to work on one vehicle at a time. Thats it. Its not up to anyone else to say how it should work.
You have already confirmed that the rest of the industry works this way, at this point you are beating a dead horse.
