Like I said ford won't do anything without codes
Truck runs fine stock ,but with a tune & wet weather it doesn't ,which is hard on the converter when this happens ! Last one was
Warr , next one might be out of my pocket !

Did it a couple times now in dry warm weather
# 4 misfire ,etc ,maybe this truck doesn't like tunes
Is my conclusion which is sad ,is diffinatly
Something in the tune making it misfire cause
it has never did it yet without a tune !,but regardless Ford will never
Fix it cause too them there is no problem, and with a tune there is and
my warr is void with a tune ! No evidence ! Other wise ! Unfortunately
For me I'm stuck with this truck for a while
and I do here you on the tsb but they won't give me that one which I'm
Sure would fix it so I'm stuck with the old tsb
Fix which doesn't make me too happy with Ford ! Is it my fault that I cannot
Take advantage of the intune ? simple modification of stock tune, you would think
It would be ok,maybe it's the extra torq and hp,puts it over the edge !

I have a 2015 Ford Explorer Sport with the 3.5 ecoboost. I have the 87 Octane Tune installed. I also have K&N air filter and catch can installed.

I was driving back from OKC to Tulsa in a hard rain and I punched it... Instantly the CEL came on and I lost power. I had the same misfires and engine codes.

I pulled over at the next rest area and re-installed the factory tune. I then removed all the error codes and finished my drive back to Tulsa.

In the morning. I updated my tuner and installed the fuel economy tune. I am going to run that for a month.

I really loved the 87 Octane tune until I got the misfire problem.

This is for so fast ,well last tune u did
Seems not too throw a code anymore
But it's the 87 tune and I run 91 oct
When u punch it ,pings like crazy around that
Med rpm is that lack of fuel ?,I might try
94 Oct and see if it's better ,it might be
That 91 shell I put in one time ,but still
Shouldnt ping that much ,what u think ?
