Settle down BJL630. We paid good money for this product and want it to do what we were told it was suppose to do.

Also, under the section titled DiabloSport Predator - Parameters Explained GM Predator

TM is listed as one of the features of this product.

Torque Management

PLEASE NOTE: Disabling torque management will put greater stress on your drive line.

* TM Abuse Mode time limit:
This is the time in abuse mode as a function of temperature. Turning it off in conjunction with Upshift Torque reduction and %Torque Reduction vs RPM will eliminate torque management.
* %Torque Reduction vs RPM:
Torque reduction as a function of RPM, turning it off in conjunction with TM abuse mode time limit and upshift torque reduction will eliminate torque management.
* Upshift Torque reduction:
Torque reduction control for each individual gear, turning it off in conjunction with TM abuse mode time limit and %Torque Reduction vs RPM will eliminate torque management. However we have noticed that the shift feel when disabling the upshift torque reduction in trucks and SUV's is reduced and therefore recommend leaving it ON for trucks and SUV's.

This U7194 lack of TM support issue has been going on for well over a year, at least. Irrespective of the notion that I believe it should have been resolved by now, and despite all the defensive "read the fine print" and "buyer beware" rhetoric, rather than have potential buyers continue to be misled...which is clearly happening...how hard would it be/have been to put a specific product caveat/note on the Product web link? Sorry guys, but that just strikes me as responsible vendor behavior. I've moved on and no longer have a dog in this fight, but it strikes me that at this point the incoming you're getting on this subject is pretty much your own fault/deserved.

Edge might. HP Tuners software works. If you're not into that level of DIY, try Nelson Performance in San Antonio...first class mail order tuner.

Edit 7/4....Edge doesn't appear to although they apparently can address the TCM. So, no handhelds that I know of. Fwiw, I've pulled out about 80% of TM and it does make a difference. I view it as a use it when you need it / want it function (or lack thereof) and don't get abusive.

Mike W and Johan do not work in the customer service department. Emailing them a question is akin to emailing Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer with a question about MS Windows Vista.

No, letsnot waste anyone else`s time with this senseless back and forth. We all know that my emails will never be answered and if they are it will be some generic answer that says we are palnning on it coming soon...

Thanks for you "useful input"

Enjoy the rest of your holiday,

John
John... Like the man said, it's like disagreeing with Microsoft. You ain't gonna get anywhere on this subject. It's like arguing with my dog. Been there, done that, and looked dumber than the dog while doing it.....not productive....take the hit and move on. Hope you have a great rest of the 4th!

I asked the same question since the tm on my 07 really is a pain!! Did the tuner make any difference with the engine TM disabled? From what I understand the 4 sec. delay with the throttle body should be gone. Did it help bottom end at all?

TM, proper, can't be addressed through the ECM. Removing PE delay certainly helps with throttle response. With respect to how the transmission actually behaves, shift points/firmness/TM, it makes no difference. To answer your question as best I can...yes, it should help engine bottom end performance at WOT.

I appreciate the reply but actually, there-in lies my problem...."should increase" but does it?

Is there anyone that has used the Predator on a new body style 07 Silverado or Sierra that can chime in and tell me the performaance difference they have actually experienced?

I have had a 200, 2001, 2002, 2004, 2006, and now the 07. ANY of the others would have waxed this 07. This has more adevrtised HP than any of the others but NO bottom end. WE play some on a eighth mile track and the 6 ft. time is ridiculous. I know this isn't a drag machine but this truck is a half secong slower to 60 feet that my '06 was. I attribute it to more aggressive torque management but that may not be the case. I know the WOT is delayed for 4 seconds and supposedly that is altered by the Predator. I also understand the tranny programming is not changed at all so as not to destroy the tranny. That's fine, and a good thing.

My question is...can anyone equate that to performance?

Rick
