custom tune could help cause traction issues.

I have a custom hemifever tune. Its the crappy 3.55 gears and brand new tires that ensure that I dont have traction issues.

then you probably need a gear swap to have traction issues. your hemifever custom tune should make more power than a canned tune.
your hemifever tune + 4.10 or 4.56 gears should smoke your tires!

You can turn off the ECO icon in the display settings menu of the truck, not with the Trinity.

might be a stupid question but i just picked up a trinity for my 2012 the owners manual says 87 octane will work but 89 is recommended. since the trinity has an 87 octane option is this going to hurt anything in the long run

I just don't get all these guys saying they see/feel no difference whatsoever after installing the tune, or even that their truck is worse than before flashing. They are either not flashing the tune properly, or they have a completely unrealistic expectation of what this tune is made for. I know I absolutely love how my truck drives now, in every aspect. I can blow the tires off if I want to, or I can drive like a little old blue-hair and baby it. And this is even after reverting back to the 87 canned tune. Sure, I made some modifications to shift points, WOT fuel, etc, but out of the box the Trinity has made a night-and-day difference in my truck overall. This is with 3.55 gears and an open diff. with 22s on it. (even though most of the time both tires spin) Kudos to DS for making it happen.

Scotty, different combos would explain it, different ratios, trim levels (weight) etc...
some expect to blow the tires off from the start but when they dont get that feel as is they have been screwed, as far as i'm concerned the diablo did exactly what it promised - turned of MDS, less TM, much better drivability. my 0-60 times are 7.8secs and unless the road is crap i cand even get the tires to squeal but that can be attributed to the 3.55 gears, added weight of crewcab spec and 4wd. but that doesnt bother me coz at passing speeds where i care about the truck is an animal.
i guess people also see times like member chaney for example and feel that something is wrong, but they also fail to see that he has got alot in mods on his truck + 4.10's.

I have the same setup. 4x4, crew cab, 3.55's. I run consistent 6.4-6.5 0-60. Load the converter up to 1500 and let her rip.
