Install the tune (any tune) and then plug it into your computer and there will be the back up and last tune files. Then put back to stock to wait for mike to make you a tune.

Couple of questions.

Is there a rough percentage of vehicles getting a dead pedal? Say, out of 10 tuned, 1 has the issue. From what I'm gathering here, most of the vehicles with issues are the 3.5 with a few 2.7s.

Also, is there a way to disable the start-stop for the 2.7 without actually having to tune the vehicle?

Lastly, I'm tracking that the last update for the inTune is FORD_TUNES-1t02eb.

Thanks for the help.

yes... we can fix the problem with a custom tune. we are working on a update that will make them not break in the first place though.

Thanks for the help.

these numbers i dont know. for what its worth i have been applyinh custom tunes to every person that has an issue and so far i have fixed about 30. we sold a HELL OF A LOT more than 30 lol.

i think you can do it through the dash but you have to turn it off all the time. the diablo tool will let you disable it entirely.

yes that is the latest.

Lfatty.....here is a 87 and a 93 tune you can use to fix your issues. they are at bottom of post.

juangorena wrote:Matt, everything has been working pretty good everything works , truck feel powerful , in the 93custom perf tune i feel like a little over boost , @ WOT and turbo indicator goes up and down (oscillation) on the 91 perf tune this oscillation dissapears , but i had a check engine lamp on , with a erratic turbo behavior , attached is the pic of the PCM Code, i have onin the 93 tune a heavy carbon deposit on the exhaust tip like fuel mixture too rich , and of course gas consumption is much much higher , it is possible to get a revised 93 perf tune to try ? , Does any modification in the custom tune like correct tire size or move speed limiter setting may affect ?

Guys as always thank you for your support , i think you´re getting closer to a very nice ending with this issue , is just fine tune what is missing , thank you again

Omar

can you get me a log of it doing this please...

Goose your 87 tune and 93 tune are attached at the bottom as well. these will fix your problem

Can I have a custom tune please? Also, once you post it, do I simply save the file to the tool and then tune as usual? I'm new to this. Thank you.

adam81, your tunes are attached below to fix the issue.

Thanks for the tunes Matt! Loaded the 87 and the truck runs good now. So far the pedal is still working after 10-15 key cycles.

good deal guys :)

Not sure what I'm doing wrong here. I drag & dropped the tunes after downloading them to my PC.

I go to the tool & go to Advance Tune, however the Install Custom Tune is greyed out.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

** EDIT: quick search & saw I was putting the custom tune in the Tune Folder instead of just dropping it in the main Folder

Tune installed & hoping for the best.

I opened the tunes folder for the device on my computer and copied them there. A few moments later the device buzzed and said they were installed.

Thanks for the answers Matt. I tried to modify the stock tune just to disable the start/stop, but couldn't find option. I then decided to tune it with the 91 tune and got the dead pedal right away. I'm attaching my last written file. I'm still trying to figure out how to disable the start/stop.
