07 Chevy Avalanche tune question

Post by 1fastrider »

I was searching posts looking for info that might help my truck a bit with shifting and response. I used the dslogredux and so far have just adjusted the injector slope up. Since you were helping some of the other guys I was wondering if you have any suggestions for my truck. It's an 07 Avy 5.3L (flex fuel capable). Oh and thanks for all the info on the other threads, made it lots easier to get the info and log data and all that.

Lew,
I'm gonna ask for another PM in about a week. The 93 oct. is still running strong but a little too aggressive for daily driving now with the changes I made to the truck.(Corvette Servo- Too much stress on drive train under that power))) so I'm dialing in on the 87 oct. now. once I get it dialed in I'll IM you..
Funny The gas mileage went down significantly with the 87 pred. tune. compared to the 93 custom tune I Burn 1/8 tank more a day on the 87 then i did with the custom tune.

yeah, once you get the LTFT's dialed in, should be better...

you should be able to just use the same slope setting you had before with the other tune... the slope adjustment wouldn't change between octane levels...

so use the same slope setting you had before with the other tune...

Will do, I want to run it for a few hundred miles and then log the WOT and steady cruise along with it.
The slope has changed slightly because of a new throttle body.
I put an new 4.8 OEM -08 throttle body that didn't have the air foil restriction in the throat of the butterfly on it. Originally I was changing the TPS but it was easier to change the entire setup.
Not sure if it was the air foil or the TPS but my delayed throttle response is gone now!!!
