New Jeep features, new Ram HEMI tunes!
Moderator: mikel
mike I tried the revision of the beta update and it still failed to write after i changed the throttle boost to 15% and into the axle menu. I didn't even select anything i just read the instructions and hit escape. Will put a tune in to get the code and will post. May take a day or two it is unpredictable. Thanks for the help.

yeah, right. you like to try to make me look "uninformed every chance you get. don't listen to white lightning, he's "uninformed".mikel wrote:I honestly try not to have to come here and reply to you with responses that make you look....'uninformed', but you make it hard not to.
so you are saying Johan doesn't want to finish shift control for '05 & '06 Ram trucks? or that mangement doesn't want Johan to spend the time to finish shift control for '05 & '06 Ram trucks?mikel wrote:Again, Johan is not given any 'time allotment' for anything he does. he is given a project, and it gets done when it gets done, and it is up to him and no one else what goes in those templates, as he is the one who makes them, period.
you are getiin' rude, dude.mikel wrote:You should re-read my last reply.
Now, re-read it again.
Has the part about making templates not being easy sunk in yet??
on 11/17/2010 Johan released a zipfile with 802 updated DCX templates, so easy or not, Johan managed to make changes to 802 DCX template files.
most people who have a Predator or Trinity on an '04, '05 or '06 would like shift control for 4th and 5th, and that's a LOT more than 3 people. you seem determined to deny how many people would actually like this option.mikel wrote:The 05-06 TCM template is its own mess due to being separate from the PCM template, which is priority number one for 99% of our customers and tuners. The reason we have a successful tuning company is we continue to move forward with new products and applications.
If Johan had spent the last month adding some shift parameters to the TCM templates for 3 customers, would it have gotten us any closer to supporting 2011 Chrysler applications, of which we have 1000s of people across the country BEGGING us for a product that they can buy and use right now? You have to understand something...we are a HARDWARE company. Johan and my paychecks are directly related to selling Predators and trinitys, custom tuning is secondary to the whole ballgame. Without us having Predators and trinitys to sell, there would be no such thing as custom tuning for DCX applications.
For now, Johan has his plate full, and then some. Once we get into the 2011 PCMs, he'll be on the dyno for weeks straight developing tunes for the masses, in addition to figuring out how this new PCM works, so that when our CMR tuners have questions, we have answers. In addition to that, he also still happens to be our GM tuner, so he has to keep up with all the latest calibrations affecting our GM and DCX tools, I could go on and on, but maybe you can see why he hasn't stopped to add these parameters.
Thanks
Superchips has sold 1000's of copies of their "advanced trans tune", which supports '04, '05 & '06 Ram trucks.
on topic of this thread, i am trying 9t12a and don't notice any difference vs 9ro9 so far.

are you sure this is anyone's business here on open forum? maybe you should erase this post. I did pay to be added to someone's license. so you made a few extra $$ there.mikel wrote: And, FWIW, he is not a fully licensed CMR dealer. They buy software at full price, he managed to get a copy of a license from a CMR tuner who paid full price, but White Lightning is not a dealer for DiabloSport.
FWIW there are several other CMR tuners who don't own the software license either.

Johan, I never said it was simple, just that it should be done. and you have said it is on your "to do" list, but it is beginning to look like this is at the bottom of the list with a start date of "12th of Never".johan wrote:Got to love these guys who thinks this is soo simple, why do think there are no other tuning solutions out there for these old products??? Riddle me that.
I can not for the life of me count the number of cammed hemi's i have tuned to satisfaction.
Superchips developed their "advanced trans tuning" several years after '04- '06 Hemi Ram tuning was first released, and their "advanced trans tuning" supports '04- '06 Hemi Rams as well as '07- '10.
you are 4 shift folders away from shift control for 4th & 5th for '05 & '06 Ram trucks. and to re-affirm: I never said it was simple, just that it should be done.

I tried to load the beta but ran in to a couple of problems with it. Everything was going great until I loaded all the parameters I had modified, then went to install but after a few minutes it told me it coulndt and it has lost comminication with unit 1 which led to the truck having no bus. So I loaded the back up and tried it again but this time leaving out the shift schedule. Everything went fine so I went back in to change the shift schedule and got that done to be installed but I encountered the same problem. I have ditched the beta and will just stick with 9r11 for now. Hope you get the bugs worked out.

Bro i don't think anyone can give you a 100% answer on that.I doubt a wierd shift or two will hurt the tranny. But i would'nt continue to let it do that.Back up to the last crom that it did'nt do that till the guy's get this new crom perfected.Agimax wrote:BUMPAgimax wrote:Will the 9t12b crom file fix my '06 overdrive kicking in just under 40 mph and making the transmission shudder cause of too low rpm problem? This issue has not been crom dependant at all, especially with so many people stating it happens with their stock tune as well.

Been running Performance Tunes for almost a year now, i've always had the Transmission kick into overdrive just below 40, which drops the RPM way down about 1200 or so, if you let off and slow anywhere near 37 or 38 the truck becomes very stressed and 'shudders' slightly until i either accelerate to jump RPMs or disengage the overdrive manually. It seems as though everyone with 05 & 06 are in the same boat and also have surging on highways (although its much better with the new test tune for me). I'm not into arguments and am grateful for the Tunes, but using the Predator has always been the same OD problem. I started with crom 9r04 and flashed all the way current over the year. Is there any way i could get a custom tune to take care of the OD problems? I don't want to burn the thing up, i always have to disengage overdrive when i'm in a 35 or 40 mph zone and its easy to forget till i feel the shudder.TooCoolHemi wrote:Mike it made me think of the 09's + that have this problem with the stock tune. Then i noticed he was an 06.It's probably the adaptive's playing around. After they learn it goes away.(so your probably right)
