Don't mind him, is obvious he does not want TCM support like the rest of us do........If it does release at all, his inTune should be locked so it's unable to ever update for the support. That'll make him happy.
Anyway............what's going on with our TCM support? You guys have it "ported over" yet? Most of us are still waiting.

No I get that it sucks and wish it was available. But I understand that they do not have the staff to get all the cars that come on here daily and post up that their vehicle and inTune won't even work together. AZ_Rider is probably happy that they were more worried about them getting his inTune to even tune his truck rather than them working to get us TCM support. Believe me, I'm upset that it was promised to us and hasn't been delivered but bringing up law suites against them isn't going to get it released any sooner and wanting them to put aside getting people that can't tune their vehicles to get added support that was promised is kind of like saying F everyone else that's product doesn't work at all and worst of all, releasing a subpar TCM support software for our trucks will only cause more problems. Writing software isn't easy and working with all the different vehicles makes it even harder. And back to me getting it or not getting it. I GET IT! I WANT IT JUST LIKE YA'LL DO!!! IT F'D THAT THEY SAID IT WOULD BE HERE A FEW WEEKS AFTER RELEASE! But my truck tunes, logs, and runs great (thanks to Lew!!!), so I will patiently wait until we get it or we don't.
BlackZ71Silverado, if you're ready to jump ship (and I get it) I hope you find what you're looking for in the superchips tuner and you have an quick easy sale on your inTune and that it makes the new owner as happy with it as you were other than the lack of TCM support.
Y'all take care and have a good night.
By the way, where is the TCM support?!?!

Gee I havn't been here for a looooong while... but hello there! Former Predator owner here
Still no TCM support eh? Lol...
Well I wish you all luck and I'm just gonna ah... leave this here...

Granted, for the sake of not repeating that pathetic tragedy of an ordeal, I'm sure they'll actually make a real effort to do right in this case.... right?
Also, if this doesnt happen within something of a reasonable timeframe, I'll have a never-opened inTune for sale. I generally hate to get rid of gifts but... I'm not entirely positive I want to deal with DS' shenanigans again -.-

The TCM support for our trucks should not cause any more problems at all if you think about it. It's available for the Trinity and works fine, they were going to port it over but never did. I don't see any issues with it since it's already complete and in use on another one of their tuners.
Seems like it's mainly the Chrysler guys having all sorts of problems, why that is I dont understand because these are the same exact tunes that those guys have been running in their trucks with the Predator. I do know that Chrysler cal's are a PITA to figure out sometimes, many tuners complain about that.
OK, here's my plan.......Ordered a SuperChips Cortex with full tcm support for our trucks, $396.00 (can't wait to get rid of these granny's and give it a try).
Going to use that when I receive it UNTIL these guys get their stuff together and do what they said they were going to do months ago ("port tcm support over from the Trinity"..lol) .
When my inTune is ready for TCM support, I am going to give my brother the Cortex and put the inTune back to work in my truck again. My father was given the Predator when I got my inTune, the plan is IF and when DS allows us to buy a license to run the inTune on another vehicle, I am going to purchase a license and get his V-Max done with the inTune and tcm support, should be much improved after that.
The Predator will be held onto just to be a back-up, in case the inTune OR Cortex fails in some way and needs to be sent to the respective company for any kind of repair.
After having DS tuner for my truck since the second week I had it, there is absolutely no way I can drive my truck ever again without some sort of tune. Went back to stock for 2 days this week and it was terrible! You really don't know how much these "canned tunes" do for these trucks until you return them to stock after using the tunes for a while.
Don't really know what to expect for the Cortex, never had any tuners from SuperChips before, guess I'll find out shortly. Don't think I am really "jumping ship", just taking a ride on a different one for what is hopefully a short period of time. When the tcm support is FINALLY done, back to the mothership I will go and pass the Cortex on to my brother.

WELL, I can tell you that DiabloSport and SuperChips seems to be an entire different league....The Cortex canned tunes are not even close to the DS tunes IMO. Didn't play with tranny settings because I wanted to give DS a fair shot since they don't have it available on our inTune yet!
Driving with the Cortex 87 octane tune doesn't seem all that much different from stock, a dog compared to the DS 87 Octane tune. I used it for one ride back and forth to work, about 90 miles and I am not impressed. The shifts are not as firm, truck doesn't accelerate as fast/hard, and there seems to be less throttle response out of the SuperChips programmer....Glad I have someone to pass this thing on to, if not it would be sitting on a shelf in the garage...Thumbs down for the SuperChips Cortex!

Sorry to hear that. Do you plan on using the TCM adjustments on it before letting it go or are you done? Hopefully we aren't to far from getting TCM support. There seems to be some forward movement.

I'm done!.........No point in playing with the tranny settings when the tunes don't run like the DS tunes do. You would definately need a custom tune done to be in the same class as the DS canned tunes. I don't even know if you can have a custome tune done with this thing, I wouldn't put the money out either way though.rdss wrote:Sorry to hear that. It don't think it would really make a difference or change anything other than shifting, no line pressure adjustment with this thing.
If I didn't pay that much for it, i'd run it over with my truck, that's how I feel about it.....O WELL.
A lot of guys talk smack about canned tunes but yo ureally don't know how much of a difference they actually make until you try something else or go back to stock. The gm-trucks forum is in love with Black Bear Performance, those guys don't believe in anything other than a custom tune from them. Most don't realize you can also get a custom tune done for the DS programmers as well.
