why would you want a watered down version, if you don't know how to tune don't do it and take it to a dealer and have it professionally tuned. and as for a dealer not wanting people getting EUCMR its simply to have job security, since when is a dealer concerned with people blowing up their vehicles because of stupidity. dealers should want people to blow up their cars cause the idiots will be coming to you once they mess up to fix it. DSP can slap the usual disclaimer on it and if anything blows up they can say we warned you.

I think the people would want a way to adjust the parameters in their tools w/o having to sit in a hot vehicle in the middle of summer in 100+ temps, or in the middle of winter freezing your jingle bells off..

I'm sitting in middle of Europe. Near is no CMR dealer. I'm able to pay for possibility to tune my engine myself.

naahhhh... won't be for years man....

there are so many products they're working on to support, and finalize new ones that are in the works currently, that this software isn't even on their radar at this point..

but, you can contact their sales department and inquire about their dealer CMR program...

Is this for real or not? Anyone else getting fed up with not being able to modify their own tune on their own car? I don't think my tuner is deliberately holding me hostage but I'm not happy with the tune yet and feel guilty everytime I bug him for another tweak.

If you guys aren't going to have this feature (or can't say when) just tell me now and I can cut my losses and figure something else out.

Requesting CMR software for our personal DSP/vehicle.

Post by LowGear »

The market is large enough that the small percentage of us who want the ability to view and tweak our custom tunes should pose no threat to "cmr dealers". I personally want to know what the tune parameters/settings are. If I break my stuff I'll fix it. Besides, I signed a release prior to my Dyno Tune anyway.
DSP is a great tool. Sell us the option to use its capabilities on our own vehicle. Who knows it might result in more DSP tool purchases.

Hp Tuners is getting closer to releasing thiers for Chrylsers.

It would be nice if Diablo could beat them to the market.

locking the software to the a vin, cal id, or tool shouldn't be too hard.

well they already have it for gm, and efi live you can tune any obd2 car. DS should release something for us, the predator's adjustable parameters are good but they LIMIT the user.
