Maybe your friends car has better head castings with less sharp areas for hot spots to cause knock. Each motor is different.

The whole top end of the Hemi needs to be redesigned. They need to either use real hemispherical chambers, or go back to pent roof. The hybrid isn't working. They cause hotspots. And they need to inject the fuel directly into the chambers, at higher pressure and a finer spray. Then the knock issues will no longer exist. Will Chrysler do it? Doubt it. They refuse to admit when they're wrong, so they'll keep pushing this crummy design.
I missed this guy while I was away using SCT stuff on my GT500. LOL
:D

Im back again in a 2013 SRT8 and gotta love that good ole ST knock!!!! Even on the stock tunes!!!!

Yeah, only reason is because Justin at VMP and Tony G. both had pretty decent base blower swap tunes to start with in the SCT stuff for my GT500. Didn't take to much tweeking on the dyno to get it dialed in. I actually hated that damn SCT tuner to be honest.

What you have to do is sell this unfriendly pos car and get a GM product like me easy and correctly tuned means will lasts longer and make more power :normal:

My pos 392 kicks your GM ass at the track. Go back where you came from.

That depends what his GM is. If its a Camaro SS, Corvette or CTS-V, you're gonna be looking at his taillights. The Challenger is by far the slowest of the ponycars, so its not wise to write checks your car can't cash.

I actually reverted to the original backup and noticed the knock was still prettty bad actually. I'm sure the intake on the stock tune is to blame. Gonna try to go 12% fuel across the board on the 91 tune.

My 392 leaves camaro ss in the dust all the time. If your talking CTSV you got a super charger and alot more HP. Wat for the hell cat you will be looking at tail lights. I got lots of checks . I am not here to listen to GM guys talk crap. You want to do that get on the GM forum.

did a quick read of whole thread.

did not see mention of a catch can. oil in your intake manifold can cause a LOT of knock retard, and a catch can will stop oil from getting into the intake manifold.

if someone did recommend a catch can, sorry for the repeat.
