Good to hear.

We'll keep working with you guys to find the perfect set up. Obviously trucks that are geared differently may behave differently, so what works best for our truck might not be best for all, but we'll get it as close as possible :)

Hi, loaded and seems to help a little. The issue is widely reported on the GMC forum. To test put in neutral and rev up to 2000 them quickly release the pedal. The rpm drops fairly slow. This shows up greatly when trying to decel but most people would not know. Mike sent me a trans rev 4 last Friday for the tow-haul being realy high shift points say 3500. They now are around 2600 but the typical downshifting like stock program seems to be absent. ??

Anyway Mike say to load the ecm diablo, or 87 with that tcm he made. My question is since I am evaluating Diablo and 87 ECM, can you send me a ECM for both?

Minor issues at best. Just let me know.

The changes from tune to tune only affect WOT spark, we can dial it in on one then apply the changes to the others, no need to make 2 tunes each time :)

When do you guys plan on rolling out the new update? Right now I'm pleased with the new shift points, but think I'd like to go back to the normal shifts instead of the firm shifts. By the way, can you do things with how the tranny downshifts too? At the bottom of third gear, the truck is VERY reluctant to downshift into second. That's a change I'd love to see!

I'm also curious about Mavericks throttle closing change. While I can't say I consider it a problem on decal in my truck, I did have an older 4.8 Silverado as a rental and it was very noticeable. You'd take your foot off the gas and the truck would keep going for a bit.

Thanks!

I still have the tow-haul issue of very light and low downshifting points., Upshift is fine. Please let me know.

Report, shifting has been pretty good. Have a repeatable issue. I drive normally till I hit fifth gear, back off pedal and let tach fall to around 1300 and trans downshifts, add a little throttle and trans upshifts in this condition at around 1450 and tach, of course, fall to around 1000 (bogs). add more throttle input and the trans downshifts and runs up to 2000 rpm which is normal.

Well thought I would give a detailed report after a 1300 mile trip. I use the same gas on repeated trips and routes. The prior MPG average was 21.6, this trip was 19.2.

1) In tow haul doiwnshifting is late but feels fine, hill decent switch has no effect. Display say to slow down more. Slowed to less than 10 MPH and would not engage.

2) In normal mode sometimes in light throttle input transmission will downshift with a bang from 2nd to first say around a corner.

3) Upshifting just a little bit aggressive, personal taste.

4) Depending on throttle input, moderate and aggressive input trans seems to be pretty spot on. When light input is used say in traffic the trans will not shift till say 2200. Seems a little high for my personal taste.

5) Last, in high gear at highway speeds it takes a lot of input to get the trans to downshift.

Any help would be greatly appreciated and hope this help your programming.

I adjusted the points you discussed.

Here is a file with those adjustments made.

Also, this is released now, so any further tweaking you'd like to do can be done through user adjustable parameters.

Thanks Zach, I will try it out. Was going to move the next phase over to custom programming, Lew, but he responded that he will be off for a while. Do you wish for me to report back?

Thanks to the Diablo team!

Larry

Update, Already had a rev4 from Mike. Renamed this file rev 5 and loaded and see no changes per request. Also you say code has been released and is adjustable in the programmer but I see no new variables in the TCM or ECM. Please explain.?????

I was thinking of using the throttle boost on my tuner...does anyone know if this issue has been fixed yet? Have current updates taken care of the previous issues?
Thanks!
