I'd just like a Trinity, no coupon required.

I read all of this. I even commented a few times trying to help. Even though I didn't have any problem what so ever I was very concerned and I believe I've been irreparably traumatized by the whole incident. I'd like a coupon for a Trinity also :)

The reason for my concern

Post by darkelf02 »

If it were only those two menu options left off, then that is no big deal. I know about the backdoor of doing restores through the Troubleshooting menu.

I was concerned that our CROM file being different from everybody else's was just the tip of the iceberg.

In other words, to make it as plain as could be for those who might think that this is much to do about nothing: Were there other, more serious things wrong with our CROM files besides the menu options being left off?

Diablo has addressed those concerns to my satisfaction.

Now I am hung on the download of the new file 08. The application is missing or corrupt. How do I go back and reload V07 .... as I can't do anything now.

So figured out how to restore the V07 .... What is the problem with the temp file?

Same here. Also some FYI. There is no fix for the error message that resulted from loading the temp CROM. The only fix is to load a different CROM.

I think there might of been some issues with the delivery of the crom file by attaching it to this forum.
Here is a link as it sits in the usual crom spot now.

Can someone with a 06 R/T Charger try it and let me know if it works?

I have an 06 Magnum R/T... same Engine, PCM and TCM... if you have the Daytona option, you have different exhaust. So far so good with 9r07. Took Calibration update, flashed 9r07 with no issues. Car launches even better (as if an AWD needed to launch better ). Pulls hard from 60-100mph. Shifts seem smoother but still firm if that makes any sense?

I had no issues with the 9r07. I had issues with the 9t08a. Anyone with a 06 R/T try that yet?

I have downloaded 9t08a without a hitch using the enclosed link and the latest DSDownloader.

I loaded the 91 octane tune and some QA stuff. Then I restored from the original backup and reloaded 91 octane tune and the same QA stuff without a hitch. Car starts up fine and runs great!!!

On my car, this is the best CROM to date: Better mileage, butter-smooth acceleration, and the shifts are sick!!!

I have a 2006 300C with AWD which should be close to your 2006 Charger R/T in configuration.

Please note: the two missing options where on the menu before I did a backup with the tool just like day one with every CROM file except for the broken 9r06 and 9r07 CROM files.

Because it is not an "R" release crom yet, will be in a day or two, it will the 100% identical to t08a aside from the name will be r08.
