Thanks Mike. I'll return to the stock modifiable tune, verify with datalogging that the issue returns, and then post up the last written tune for you.

I am having ST knock with stock, 91 and 93 oct tunes, even with fuel adjustments (have posted my logging previously in this post). Seems some are having knock issue and some are not. Not saying it's Diablosports' fault by any means, too many factors that can contribute.

I live NE of you Txsport, on I45 corridor, South of DFW about 45 mins, so were pretty close on air temp, elevation, fuel octane, ect. Do you know if we have "winter blend" gas yet? Would seem like we do since there are so few refineries, but I honestly have no idea.

I will post some data logs when I get my PCM and Trinity back for you Mike, running the tunes as well as stock.

Am I wrong in thinking that the knock retard is a result of the Short Term and Long Term Knock? I thought it was the PCM protecting the engine from damage that can result in knock. If ;yuhrtooohjuaxc hbbbb7so, how can you have knock retard with no knock? Also, from what I gather, Long Term Knock is the computer assuming that the engine will knock under xxx condition that causes ST knock, which is gathered (the xxx conditions causing the ST knock), stored and used to predict that the engine will knock. This seems to hold true because pulling #2 fuse or disconnecting the battery seems to clear LT data, because in my last data logs, I haven't seen any LT knock. I had to disconnect the battery to install a new TB.

Again, I am learning and want to gather all the info I can.

I am wondering if there is an acceptable knock range? OR are we really shooting for 0.

I am getting 1 degree of Lt and 3 degrees of St knock these are peak numbers and from what i can tell its the same on the stock tune... I will know more and be able to post data later.

P.S. I have a 2012 Challenger R/T with Blastin Bobs glasspacks, moroso catch can, and a intake silencer delete.

How are you guys adding fuel and timing? is it within the tuner or using a PC then uploading tunes to the trinity? :punisher:

I finally went with a Hemi Fever tune and got rid of both LT and ST issues I was seeing.

You are correct on the LT based on ST KR.
Hemifever pulled some of the timing that DS had in the tune as it was not needed. I think based on fuel airtemp and other conditions is why some see it and others don't. It is also my experience that having 3.55 gears was another factor as at cruising speed the rpms were just right for ST and LT kr to happen.

I did not feel comfortable running DS ots files so I spent the extra 150 to have it tuned.

I am in no way saying DS OTS tune is bad. It was not something I was comfortable with on my truck. The best thing you can do when tuning is pull a log and have it looked at and if it needs to be changed like in my case, pay to have a professional tune it to your truck.

I was very happy with my results from the trinity. Would I buy one again. YES I sure would.
But now I am on to faster things!! Like my 13 Subaru STI!

Cheers

I too saw increased knock with the canned tunes. Luckily I got a custom Hemifever tune within two days of receiving my trinity so it was fixed.

From what I have read, you should aim for 0 Long Term Knock Retard and low Short Term ( highest I regularly see now is 5 during WOT shifts).
