Went back and looked, and ozzcrash posted on here that he had the dead pedal issue with the 2.7 ecoboost on 8 July, but he posted in the 2.7 calibration issue thread, so nobody picked up on it till today. So, evidently both the 2.7 and 3.5 ecoboost engines can have the dead pedal issue. Could definitely put a new wrinkle in DiabloSports troubleshooting knowing that it is 2 different motors, both with the same issue, and with totally different cal ids!

2015 F150 XLT FX4 3.5 Ecoboost
3000 miles
MyFord Touch
3.55 locking rear axle
0-2500 feet elevation

Download backup from interweb

first install with PKCMAH2 and 1r02a , it went 3 key cycles and 10 miles before dead pedal
and it was totally gone in all gears and neutral

Wait 2 months and tried again

Updated to 1r02b and same PKCMAH2 , now dead pedal is right away and only in gear, neutral and park are ok.

garden98 wrote:Just a thought, but is there a way we can work with DiabloSport to determine if the I2 will work with the trucks displaying the dead peddle issue? If it can be confirmed that the I2 will work, we can then ask DiabloSport for some kind of consideration, since they have sold all of us an InTune that will not work for it's intended purpose, and a lot of us have trusted DiabloSport for several months now, to the point that we can no longer return the InTune for a refund. Of course, if the I2 is found to have the same dead peddle issue, all this is a moot point and we are still stuck with a tuner that we can't use or return.

i agree. i am awaiting the guys response from the post above on it his i2 works or not.

I aplogize for the Delay matt. I ended up having having to head out of town last minute for work and was unable to do anything. i plan on tuning tonight and posting my findings ASAP.

I got the truck to accept the tune. I drove it around for 20 minutes with no issues. I will let it sit a few hours and i will try it again. I will also get up early to try it again in the morning. When my issue occurred i had let it sit for a day and then had the issue before work. I will update in the morning.

The good news is that most trucks had the pedal issue immediately when trying to retune after the first time. So this seems to be progress at the moment. I will continue to update throughout the week.

Hey Guys I just wanted to post a fresh thread as the official one is too hard to find (I posted to it and it did not come to the top of the board). Can you answer me straight, is there an end in sight?

yes we are working on it. i have a "official thread" stickied at the top of the "Board index ‹ General Technical Support ‹ General Support" section.

an easy way of finding it is in upper right hand corner, hover your mouse over your screen name and a drop down bow will appear. click on "view your posts" and it will show all the treads you posted in.

Bad News - I had the dead pedal issue this morning. But i do have some things that i observed.

I remote started my truck as i normally do in the morning to get it warmed up. When i was walking up to my truck i could immediately tell something was wrong. The truck was idling very low and the electric fans were not on. Even when the temperature outside is colder than it was today the fans run during remote start. I got in the truck and hit the start button and the idle did not change even when everything kicked on. At that point i tried the pedal before putting it in drive and got nothing. I tried in reverse and drive and got nothing. I turned the truck off and on with the start button and got nothing. so i went ahead and took the tune off and took the kids to school.

To me it looks like the truck is running is a safe mode. Electronics still work and nothing comes up on the screen. The fact that the electric fans have not kicked on seems like a big red flag to me.
