I hear ya, but it would be nice to know the numbers, IE 30hp 35TQ increase on 93 tune. You know, something like that.chas123 wrote:I would guess that If the torque gains from the 87 tune were as substantial as they were, the higher octane tunes will be even better. For me, the reduced torque management coupled with shift rev limiter and shift points is worth the price of admission.
09 Ram in the near future??

I always take aftermarket gain claims with a grain of salt. I mean they're in FLA at sea level. I am assuming it is still pretty warm and humid there. I am in Va a good bit off of the coast (~700 ft. asl). It's been cooling down here. Bottom line is that it is a canned tune. I literally just got my Trinity (10 min. ago). Provided they get the update posted soon, I am going to try to get to a tuner in the next two weeks. I'll post up stock #'s, 93 #'s, and the #'s for whatever the tuner comes up with. I will also post up seat of the pants speculation as soon after the update is posted.

You have a Predator or Trinity?KarateManAZ wrote:Yep, I have tuner in hand waiting anxiously for the tune! I am salivating on my desk with the thought of tuning my truck! However anxious I am though I would rather wait and have the tune not have bugs or what not than get a buggy tune.

I do not have the MSD disabled since it does not effect anything at WOT. I love the shifting. Currently shifting at 5800 rpms and very firm.blazingzz wrote:damn thats something i was looking forward to again... do you have the msd disabled... overall whats the biggest difference with running the 93 tune from stock.... thanks for info
Off the line there is still some lagging but the truck really takes off after 2000 to 2500 rpms.
I can spin the tires with minimal brake, cannot do it with out using the break.
On the 87 tune mileage is maybe 1/2 mile per gallon better then stock. On 93 I can't tell yet since I am stabbing it every chance I get, lol.
