Support the V6 LX guys...

You guys really need to do this for us, and do it right. I do not understand why you think the people with the small engine dont want a power upgrade, we are the ones who need it worste! Why is there only a performance upgrade for engines with 350 and 425 hp? The tuner is needed and wanted by many people with the SE or the SXT. Please make it.

Not hard to understand... People who buy 350 or 425HP like you said, want performance... People who buy a V6 don't want performance... Else they buy the 350-4425HP...joecu08 wrote:You guys really need to do this for us, and do it right. Even with a programmer, your V6 will not give you the same performance than a 8 cylinders...
So, why you don't buy a big engine if you like performance ???

So, you mean that the import crowd (both V6 and 4-cylinder) doesn't want performance either? If that's the case, why are there so many different performance products (S/C. turbo, tuner, etc.) available for them? Are they simply for looks? And the only option for performance is a big V-8? Tell that to the turbo Eclipse that was at Carlisle last month with over 700 rwhp.Hemisport78 wrote:Not hard to understand... People who buy 350 or 425HP like you said, want performance... Sorry for the rant, but I get so tired of hearing this. It's nothing but a BS excuse.
And you are correct....a tuner alone won't give us V8 numbers. But it will open the door for additional goodies like turbos and/or S/Cs.

If you think like that, it's because you don't want the BEST performances...ChargerSXT wrote:So, you mean that the import crowd (both V6 and 4-cylinder) doesn't want performance either? Yeah, there is performance, but there is also ultimates performances...
You speak about an eclipse of 700HP... Yeah, great... But take a V8 and put the same amount of $$$$$$ in that V8 than in the eclipse, turbo and all the kit... You will have the beast... Not only a little V6 of 700HP, a V8 of more than 1000HP.
Yeah 4 and 6 cylinders can performe well... But There is no replacement for displacement
Yeah you can have great performance with a 4 or a 6, but for how much ? You will put a lot less money to upgrade your V8 to have great performance than a little 6 or 4...

You'll get no arguement from me. It's a fact that if you start out with more, and spend/add the same amount, then you'll end up with more...but please don't simply assume that because we have a V6 that we don't want, or deserve, any performance modifications. There are a number of V6ers who bought the V6 for financial reasons...they couldn't afford the performance of the V8 at the time they bought their cars, and now they may be able to do some things...a little at a time...to their V6s...but they still can't afford a big V8.Hemisport78 wrote:If you think like that, it's because you don't want the BEST performances...ChargerSXT wrote:So, you mean that the import crowd (both V6 and 4-cylinder) doesn't want performance either? Lol... Good question sir... I have a Hemi truck with some mods... I would buy a SRT-10, but I'm disable, in wheel chair... And when I was looking for the SRT-10, it did not had automatic transmission... I absolutely need the auto trans to be able to drive... And he was not 4X4 and not 4 doors... I want these options... On the new version, it only miss the 4X4... Maybe next yearChargerSXT wrote:

And for the price, you tell me that it can affect people... If it is only that, I'll tell you, shop a little more for your car... Because today, the difference between the two are ridiculous... For exemple, on a truck, the HEMI is only 900$ can, more than the stock engine... What is 900$ for a truck of 40 000 ??? And you will save it in gas because a V8 with the same weight will do better mpg by far... In one year, your 900$ investment is in your pocket...
If you don't have money to buy an expensive car with a V8, buy a Mustang... It's cheaper than many many 4 and 6 on the market, but you will smoke them all...

Oh, and before you ask it, why I did not bought a sports car if I want performance, instead a Truck... It's because here the road are not too much pretty... And we have many dirt road... And I always need to put something in my bed, like my Atv or my snowmobile... I want all in one... And it's really funny to smoke little 4 and 6, even 8 cylinders cars, with a truck with a 800lbs Sportsman ATV in the bed

That's my point exactly...to each his or her own. We all buy what we buy for one reason or the other. Just because some of us buy V6s...be it out of choice or necessity...doesn't mean that we don't want to be able to mod our cars. You say you like smokin' cars with your loaded truck...imagine the grins we'd have if we, with out 3.5L badges, were able to smoke a stock, or slightly modded RT, V8 Mustang, etc. I think the correct term is a "sleeper."Hemisport78 wrote:Oh, and before you ask it, why I did not bought a sports car if I want performance, instead a Truck... Yeah, like you say, to each his own... But I was just trying to explain why they don't make programmer for you guys... It's a big reason... You are the exception to the rules, I call exceptions people who want to mod their 6... Because you are a very little group in the market... And they don't want to make a tunner for only 100-200 people, who want to tune their little V6... They will make a programmer for the big market, for the real performance guys with big engine... This market is bigger by far than the V6 market... And I think it's why they don't do a programmer for you...ChargerSXT wrote: That's my point exactly...to each his or her own. So, following that logic, why does Diablo have a tuner for the V6 Mustang from 1998 - 2007? And why Superchips has them for the V6 Mustang from 2005 - 2007, and Ford Rangers from 2004 - 2007? Are these guys "big markets"...as big as the V8 markets for the same vehicles? Do they rake in the $$$ with the V6 Mustang tuners?Hemisport78 wrote:Yeah, like you say, to each his own... And what about the multitude of imports out there? Are they also without tuners? Are they considered a "small market" too?
To me, the arguement that we are too small of a market is simply a bunch of B.S. If the programmers could have their way without the bean-counters screwing everything up, we wouldn't have this problem. If they build them...they will sell. They may not jump off the shelf as soon as they hit the market, but they will sell.

Well, Hemisport78...it looks like the powers that be follow your line of reasoning.
I received this email from Mike here at Diablo:
I can't believe that the aftermarket performance world are such blind sheep. Hopefully, someday someone will wake up and realize that it's not just a V8 world and that there is actually a V6 community out there (other than the V6 Mustang), and make a tuner for us. Whoever figures that out first will make a killing.
I guess it's back to being the "red-headed stepchild" of the automotive world. I guess I'll have to settle for looking at a local owner's highly modded and custom tuned V6 Mustang and wondering "why not my car?".
I received this email from Mike here at Diablo:
I bet if we had a "Blue Oval" on our cars, we could get some support.I wont give you any BS excuses, but at this time we do not plan to support the V6 applications.
I would urge you guys to keep yelling on our forums, as that is the best place to do it. Our owners can see that info at anytime, so keep it up.
Thanks
Mike

ehh, dont worry about it.... keep pushin.... it'll happen eventually....these knuckleheads wanna take their time, only gives someone else the opportunity to make money.... look how long it took for sum1 to make a belt driven turbo system.... add my name to the list....
Hey man im sorry you are in a wheel chair. Like someone else said before I bought the V6 because its what i could afford. I buy the 3.5LHO and put 1000 dollars of mods in it, hey thats a fast 18000 dollar car. Do you seriously think any Charger R/Ts are going for 18000 dollars right now? If so you need help. The V6 people want the mod, we are in the miinority because we are the only ones speaking up right now. Its people that this retarded redneck thought "bigger is better, just get a bigger engine". Yeah in la la land this is capable. Trust me, nobody that gets a charger with a V6 is buying it because it is a neat car. Charger is a sports car, some of us just cant go out and buy a better. The R/Ts cant be found for under 26000 right now with a reasonable amount of miles. Take a SXT with a supercharger, tuner, CAI, Headers, and exhaust. What do you have, a car with more hp than a R/T for less price.Hemisport78 wrote:Not hard to understand... People who buy 350 or 425HP like you said, want performance... Even with a programmer, your V6 will not give you the same performance than a 8 cylinders...
So, why you don't buy a big engine if you like performance ???
Like someone said earlier to you, why didnt you just get a bigger engine with your truck? You could of gotten a cummins diesel and put a good bulldog chip in there, and it would smoke your truck with a boat behind it. You didnt because of money most likely, hopefully.
