When I attempt to update from v. 9r18 to either 9r21 or 9r21c my 7194 advises that it is unable to downgrade from 9r16. I'm confused....now what?

I got the 9t21c to work. I had to download and install the 9r19 crom first.
You can get the 9r19 crom in the message below

Thanks, now updated to 9r21... Now the question, for a 2007 Yukon with the 5.3 flex, was the upgrade of benefit or did I just use up more memory to install the update since it is larger in size? If nothing gained what revision would give me the latest improvement in my Yukon without using excessive memory that may be better utilized for logging purposes.
Thanks again

Would it do any good to try to update from 9r13 to 9r21 on a 2008 5.3 Sivarado? Bought my Predator in May of 08. Will the 9r21 fit in it?
Thanks,
Robert

I have a 2010 Camaro SS L99. It sounds like I should update. I haven't been on here for a while and thought I would see if I was missing anything. Dose the Predator now have tranny tune? Will the update help me? I'm running a Vararam intake and Magna Flow comp cat back.

you need to search the forum and update to 9r19 first... then you can go to the newest one after that...

Hey Lew, I tried to update today. Updater will not work!! it freezes on the "please power cycle tool" window. The driver is installed and working but it only takes over the tool when Dataviewer is open. Downdoader does list the port and baud rate so It is recognizing the location ok. Help!!!!! The tool is about 1 year old!!!

have you ever updated the tool before, or exported tune files from it using the dsdownloader??
wondering if the dsdownloader is really seeing/finding your tool...
com port is set to 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5... and the baud rate is 57600 or 115200?? in both the dsdownloader AND in your settings/properties for the usb cable in windows device manager??

No, haven't updated before. I messed with it and got it working. Thanks!!!!!
The com port was showing"com 3" I changed it to "com 4" and it worked fine.
