2004 Ford Lightning Log Upload

Post by My2004FordSVT »

I have a 2004 Ford Lighting. My U7158 Diablo Predator is a version V.9r01. I'm having trouble uploading a saved log from the predator to my Windows XP PC. The Dataviewer connects to my predator okay, but when I try and download the log I receive a 'command not supported' error message. What can I do to correct this problem.

I have an old version of the u7158 with less memory so it only works with up to v8r10. But I would guess you still need to do as I do, download with CMR_DAT and save to a place you can find it. Then you can view the log with Dataviewer.

Also I think there's a 9r02 in the download section. Not sure what that gets you but you may want to check it out. When you open dataviewer look at the supported tools and you'll see that u7158 only works with log viewing currently.

If you ever have the need to stream to a pc I hope you have better luck than me otherwise take a look at the thread I have going. Hope to have an answer soon. Sorry if I gave you any bs info, just trying to help a Lightning brother out. Some things to try until an expert chimes in anyway.

Unfortunately you are correct, this is the best path for your particular tool.

otissvt, you may need another plug change and make sure your coils and the coil boots are in good condition.
