U7193 software revision v. 2.10 - 2005 Hummer H2
Performance 93 Octane tune:
When I go to "Modify Tune" > "Torque Management," all 3 parameters are "OFF" by default, or at least "OFF" is highlighted. Does this option actually reflect the status of T/M? And if so, why would the Performance Tune turn all 3 T/M options to "OFF"?
Since it is advised that the 3rd parameter "Upshift Torque Reduction" be left ON for trucks and large SUV's, I highlight "ON" for "Upshift Torque Reduction," and answer yes to "do you want to save changes," and re-install the modified tune.
But when I re-enter "Modify Tune" and go back to "Torque Management," "Upshift Torque Reduction" is still set at "OFF." Why can't I turn it on as is advised?

That is not indicating that it is turned off, that is asking do you want it turned off.
From what I've read you want the first two OFF and the third one turned ON

Those parameters with switches default to the top menu item in that selection, it does what you change it to but once you go back it will default to the top menu item.

johan, thanks for the info! That's the information I was looking for, and I was thinking that this was probably the case.johan wrote:Those parameters with switches default to the top menu item in that selection, it does what you change it to but once you go back it will default to the top menu item.
So based on this information I shouldn't assume that the first two parameters are really "OFF," even though "OFF" is highlighted when you go into the T/M menu selection (because it defaults to the top menu item which is "OFF").
I'll go back and select "OFF" for the first 2 T/M parameters and then save the settings to make sure they really are "OFF."
It sure would be nice if there was some way to really know for sure that T/M was really disabled ("OFF").
