Engine is missing more than one cylinder, but less than eight.
diagnostics returned a P1316.

I suspect a bad wire, UVCharness, or IDM, but would like to read codes off IDM or run an injector buzz test before replacing parts. Does the U7170 support either reading the IDM codes or an injector buzz test? If so how? If not, what product do you reccommend that will?

The ford factory tool is the only one that will implement the injector buzz test along with IDM. So you would have to get that done at the dealer unless you have an NGS tool yourself.
