New DOD parameters available in custom tunes...

If you are using one of the DOD tunes (Diablo DOD Tune, or 91 Octane DOD Tune) in your car, or have DOD enabled on your truck, there are new parameters available via a custom tune for DOD that can be adjusted!
The adjustments will regulate when the DOD kicks on, how long it is on for, and when it kicks off... will stay in 4 cyl mode longer, thus giving you better mileage...
The adjustments regulate when the DOD will engage and switch to 4cyl mode, how long it will stay in 4 cyl mode, and then disengage and switch back to 8 cyl mode...
You can send me or Johan a PM if you're interested in getting these adjustments.

I just got the tune back from Lew for the DOD changes. Everything seems to be working great. It is shifting in and out of 4cyl. a lot smoother and seems to be doing exactly what he said it would do. I will keep everyone posted as to how everything works out and what kind of mileage increase. Also thanks for the extra tune work. Truck runs like a 6,000# sports car

. Major Difference.
Thanks for your time.

Lew & Johan got a hold of mine a while back, and I gotta say I'm happy with it so far. The weather has cooled quite a bit, and this is usually when I start seeing the mpg drop, but it's stayed constant. Only downside (and it's just nitpicking on my part

) is that I can feel DOD engage and disengage. It feels much smoother in 8cyl mode, as I guess it should due to the weight
Well done boys!

More custom tuning from Lew, and its a mileage improvement. About 3 mpg in city, 5 on the highway for me. PM him for details.

Not sure how Lew found more power, but as far as better MPG goes, he tweaked the DoD parameters to allow it to engage sooner, and hang around longer. Basically, it can run in V4 even if the engine load increases a little, whereas before, it would go back into V8 immediately upon the slightest increase in engine load.

gump -- the DOD adjustments are now part of the diablo tunes included in the predator, so you'll already have them...
1fast -- same thing for you for the DOD... and if you have your ltft's dialed in already, like you mentioned in your other post, then do a WOT log and see what your AFR is at WOT, and if you're getting any KR....
to do a WOT log, make sure your truck is up to normal operating temps first, then go do the log... start from a dead stop if you can, or at least from as slow of a roll as possible, then just get on it - pretend you're on a drag strip...

Hey MonteSS I'll do that this weekend probably after I've done another 50 miles. I adjusted the injector slope as dslogredux mentioned but haven't gone but a few miles since. For the WOT runs do I leave DOD turned off?
