Diablosport tune makes my gto run really really really bad

So I just got this thing and I went ahead and installed the Diablosport tune on my car since I always use 93 octane anyway. My engine has no mods. I was going to let it "break in" for a while and then do a log. But my car runs like total crap now. It keeps cutting out. I will be cruising along at 45 mph and the rmp jump and drop over and over and my car starts jerking all over the place and the low traction light comes on. I can't get the rpm above 4000. It dies. The exhaust smells strange. I have had the tune on now for about 15 miles and it is getting worse not better. What is going on with this thing? Did I waste my money on this thing?

I have honestly never, ever, heard of such an issue.
GTOs tend to gain a solid 20+ rwhp and run great with this tune...

I would try restoring the stock tune to the car and retuning it to be sure all is well....

OK the oem tune made my car run better. But the dealer informed me today my tranny is screwed up (it has been making a progressively worse clunk sound for the last year and they are now finally agreeing something is wrong). When I think about how it was running on the tune, it was running real bad only when in gear. The tach wasn't going up and down so it seems like it wasn't the engine cutting out but the tranny. Almost like the converter was locking and unlocking. Then in neutral or park it would pur and I could rev it all the way to redline with no issues. So the dealer thinks it is a bad solenoid in the tranny and I think that was causing the tune to not work right. Maybe the extra aggressiveness was to much for the tranny. So once they fix it I will try the ds tune again and see if it is better. Thanks

get that fixed, and THEN do the tune for sure... will definitely notice a vast improvement...

If it is a solenoid issue, change them all. I've seen were one change causes a cascade issue down the line. Then you have to do it all again. Easier to do it once.

Well that is all in the dealer's hands (still under warranty). I will mention it to them. I am glad I didn't throw that torque converter on there yet, that would probably have voided my warranty

Just complain that is bad in other gears too.

"First gear isn't bad, but when it shifts to second it almost undriveable. Third is a little better, and OD is about the same as first"

OK well my transmission is fine and I am still having the same issue with this thing. I install the tune, it runs great while the engine is cold, and as soon as it warms up it starts acting up.

buddy of mine has a GTO tuned via the predator, and it runs like a tractor on crack. You got somethin' else going on would be my guess.

Like what? Everything is running just fine on my car. Everything has been checked out multiple times by the dealer and by a number of other shops.
