I switched to the Smarty sometime ago, but I have recently sent the Smarty back for an upgrade. So in the meantime I've reloaded the Predator and I have to say I forgot how good the power is, been running the Extreme mode with the TST. This morning on my way to work I hit 120mph so I can verify the speed limiter works , if the Predator was able to change some Torque Management settings, the Predator would be a fair contender against the other competition. I'll always keep the Predator around, good job on the latest upgrades.

I have always thought that the predator makes great power on the 03-04 trucks compared to any other tuner out there. Do you feel that it makes alot more than the smarty? I am guessing your getting it sent back for the POD? Mikel was supposed to e mail me some tunes with decreased Tq management but ive never recieved them. I bet your lovin that turbo.

Advantages....well, you'll be able to kill the clutch faster and maybe even break the tranny!

LOL, seriously, it keeps the PCM from limiting torque output, which really is not an issue when you have 800 or so ft/lbs at the tires...

The power is comparable to the Smarty, however there is no way to fine tune anything. But a lot of people prefer it this way. Yes on the POD, and yes I picked this turbo because its very streetable 450-525hp, it spools very fast and is great for towing with no surging at all. I dyno'ed 454hp/912trq. on the Predator "Tow tune", then I loaded the extreme and only hit 456hp/900trq. before I ran out fuel, I now have the FASS 150 hooked up, so it will be a different story next time.....

LOL try 463hp 1023tq with the rkl tunes and mp-8. Ive got a good clutch so id like to try it out, Ill send Johan an e mail. I know I need a turbo bad, my stocker sees 40psi sometimes so Im sure drive pressure is through the roof. How is the spool up with that turbo ropn? I usually drive around on the performance tunes and occasionally use my mp-8 and tow quite often.

As I mentioned above it spools very fast, my dyno was also based on the puc set on 60hp. I'll crank things up a notch now for the next roller run...

I wish I would have had 9r03 installed last week so I could drop the rpms before my Az. e-test instead of 3500 when it was floored. But I don't know if it will do speed limiting with the stock backup - I haven't tried that yet. Craig
