7130 revision ??

I have a 2yr old Predator 05xxx and I just ordered a Puck (it will be here next week) so I can have more tunes. About a yr ago I updated to r29 and lost the stack tunes except for Tow Stack. Currently I tow on Perf and could stand to have a little more - stock clutch is very positive and egts are in good shape. I can actually tow on Extreme (clutch and egt are OK) but the throttle is way too wild and hard to control smoke. With the stack, I'm hoping to find a tune that will give me a little more for towing but not as wild as regular Extreme. Then for playing, I'd like to have power like Extreme (or a bit more) but with driveability more like the nonstack Perf tune. Yeh, I probably want what I can't have! So here's my questions. Can I go back to an earlier revision that has Perf stack and Ext stack tunes? I can't figure out where or how to find the revision downloads and what tunes are in them. I don't know what any of the special tunes are like for r29. If I keep the r29 and load the Stack Puff tunes will I only have high power/egt tunes (and smoky) or will I have some clean milder tunes OK for towing? Or what other DL for r29 would get what I want? TIA! Craig

Just use the perf. tune with your puck when you get it.

Thanks! Will timing and pressure be safe? I just DL'ed 9r03 and it has Tow Stack and Extreme Stack but still no Perf Stack. I wonder what the reason is they left Perf Stack out. I'm guessing some other tune will do the same thing - maybe regular Perf + Puck, like you are using. I'll get the Puck and just try different stacks. I've never tried using the live diagnostics but I see it has CR pressure. Time to play with that, too. Craig

I put the Puck on today and tried it out. It does what I wanted and then some. I timed 60-80 mph runs with several tunes. Ext and no puck was 5.4 seconds. Ext. +50 was about the same. Ext Stack + 50 was 4.7 - way fast but I don't plan to use that one. I didn't try Ext Stack + 90 for fear of clutch problems. All Ext. runs started out VERY smoky before clearing up. Perf + 50 was 6.1 seconds and Perf + 90 was 5.6 seconds. Both Perf runs started with a little smoke and cleared up quickly and egt was about 200 degrees cooler than the Ext. runs. Perf + 90 was only .2 seconds slower than the nonstack Extreme, about 200 degrees cooler and the smoke is literally like day and night difference. The big plus that I was hoping for is - driveability with Perf + both Puck settings are as good as Perf alone. Also, there's no timing rattle or any other bad sounds with the nonstack Perf + either Puck setting. The stack is a win-win-win-win-win deal... more power, cooler, cleaner, great driveability and switch-on-the-fly. Craig

u wont get any timing rattle, the puck is a presure only box,the stak tunes only lower the rail pres to close to if not stock levels,u are fine ruing the puck with a reg tune as long as u watch the rail pres,i ran the stak before and i never seen over 27k,and that was getting on her pretty hard, for normal drivin the reg tunes with puck are ok.

I think Diablo told me the Puck is more timing and duration to go along with the Predator - I didn't think it was pressure. Anyway, after some more time with the Puck + Pred perf tune I do hear some noise that isn't there when I run perf alone. Can you hear high rail pressure? I tried to use the Predator live data and get no data. Will it work on the 03? I want to tow with the perf stack so I really want to get the perf stack tune in there after I get my screwup fixed. the puck doesnt altr timing or duration, its a pres only box, heres a post from johan
the live data should work,i have a early o4 and it works fine, some of the data is in weord format, like instead of psi they have boost on kpa or somthing so the rail pres may be insome weird format too,it shoud work on ur 03 though do some more playin,
You will most likely get a low fuel pressure code as the puck is a pressure box and the stacker tunes has fuel pressure set to stock vs the non stack tunes.
