What tune to use
05 GT U7140 updated
ok I just installed the C & L CAI street tube with stock MAF
I cant find a C & L tune in the predator, is there something else i should use.
Also does anyone have any ideas on any peramter changes that should be done.
I did install the airaid tune just to try out. I also have a racing CAI tube with what I think to be a 90mm adaptor any comments on installing that.
thanks for any help.

RE: What tune to use
C&L has a specific tune for their CAI's. Both of those inlets will require a seperate tune each. So I'd pick one and stick with it. The street inlet is pretty standard stuff. The "racer" inlet is made for a 95mm MAF, which you should have gotten with the kit, it all comes together packaged. I personally like the "racer" setup better because it's nice and wide-open. Also the inlet is plastic, which will disapate heat instead of trap heat. I don't like the metal CAI's because once they get hot they stay hot. The plastic inlets might get warm, but not nearly as hot as metal tubes. Plus once your throttle opens up the air will cool the plastic inlet faster than the metal inlet, where the metal inlet will rub off heat into your cool air.
Street will still give you nice gains.

The calibration id of your Original Backup file does not match that of your Tune File.
The Tune file calid is fbjr3g4 and the backup file is fbjr3g5.
Please either find the correct Original Backup for this tune, or use an Original
Backup file downloaded from the Predator to create a new tune.
Not sure If im doing somthing wrong or what please help, and thanks again

Post your calid please, I"ll send you a tune.Addicted2SPD wrote:i have the C&L "racer" intake and love it, however my problem is their tune that coincides with that CAI is a 93 tune...we dont have 93 gas out here in the West, our Premium is 91. Anyone know how I can remedy this? If i go with the canned Diablo 91 tune, will it work ok with the race intake?
No, i don't work here.

Don't worry about making any adjustments. Just use this tune.Addicted2SPD wrote:cal id is FBNF1G3
I retarded the timing spark (for both a-4k and 4-7k) to -2 and got rid of the ping but noticed loss of power. I then changed it to -1 and regained some power with no ping still, I may try -.5 and see if that still gives performance without ping.
