Older U7193 updatable?

I have a U7193 software rev. 2.06, hardware rev. 1.01 for a 2004 GTO that was purchased in 2005. I understand this particular model is not internet updatable. I also understand the most recent version of this same model has the capability of modifying the injector slope, among other parameters, which mine is not able to do. Is this model factory updatable to include these extra parameters or is purchasing the newer model the only way to get this capability? If it is updatable, what is the cost?

You noted "if it was bought used" it can be updated for $99 plus shipping. I purchased this unit brand new from SLP with their tune for the GTO. Does this make a difference? I assume from your reply that if it can be updated the update would include adding the ability to modify injector slope. What other additional modification parameters would I gain. I assume this unit, even with the update, would not be able to do data logging. Correct?

if you still have the receipt to show proof of purchase that you're the original buyer, then it won't cost you the $99... you just need to pay shipping.

if you don't have the receipt, it will cost you $99 + shipping.
