05 silverado WOT 1-2 shift
05 silverado WOT 1-2 shift
With the stock tune, the WOT 1-2 shift actually seems quicker than with adjusting the pressure and things up. It seems to kinda slide into 2nd more than just hit hard and shift. Part throttle is great. anyone else notice this? or maybe my trans is just beat to hell already.

I just updated it to the newest version yesterday. 9r06.
i had not used it with the older 9r05 software. The stock 1-2 shift is by far softer but its quicker to hit the gear, where the preset tune or adjusting it up seems to make it slide in when the TQ management puts power back on the trans is still slipping into gear. 4L60E is not that great of a trans to begin with so im blaming that for now. they are a POS.
Almost seems like a longer Tq reduction time would help the discs in the trans have time to grab ahold. Would adjusting the shift time slower hold the TQ reduction longer?

The reduction of TM should not cause tranny slippage, it is most likely a weak tranny, as we have been using these same tunes in the trucks for years with no adverse affects.
I'd suggest having the tranny serviced with at least a fluid and filter change to see if it gets better.
Thanks
