Predator for GM diesel hardware upgrade program ready to go!

The time has come.
Owners of older GM diesel Predators can now send their tools in for a $99 hardware upgrade. (Any tools sent in that are locked to another vehicle will be charged an additional $50 unlock fee)
This allows anyone with a U7180 or U7185 with a 1.XX or 2.XX revision to have their tool upgraded to use the latest 9rXX revisions.

These newer revisions allow you to datalog to the Predator, or to use the Predator as a pass thru logging device and live stream data to our Dataviewer software.

It also adds the ability for these tools to hold up to 5 custom tunes in addition to the canned tunes.

Other features are a vastly improved read/write procedure and the most up to date tunes.
This upgrade also makes the Predator internet updatable, so you can download future updates to the tool at home on your PC rather than having to send it in for updates.

Please feel free to post up or call us if you have any questions.

If you are ready to upgrade your tool, please fill out an RMA request form under the support tab here.

Thanks
Mike

I have a v2.02 for my 05 Duramax, if I send it in for update will I lose the EGR disable feature? If so, can I write it in in one of the tunes that I can store?

Yes, you will lose that featuer, and no, you cant save the file, as the new tools use totally different file types.

No, there are no custom tunes available for the U7180.
You'd be gaining the ability to update the tool over the internet and to do datalogging, plus you'd get new read and write procedures.

Currently we call for a turn around of up to 30 days, but it is rarely if ever that long.

I have a 2003 GMC Lb7, it is locked to my old 2001 Lb7. I want to send it in for the latest and greatest tunes. So, I need to fill out the RMA, but the RMA does not have the upgrade and unlock option.

So (1), how do I know if my programmer can be upgraded? (2) what needs to be checked on the RMA to have the upgrade and unlock completed?

So basically, I want to send this thing in so I can use it on my truck, but what do I need to do??????

Also, will it do the balance after this upgrade? Does the old software do the balance? How can I tell?
