Three questions tuning with cmr....

I am a CMR dealer and am working with a 2003 Mach 1 with stage 2 cams with ported heads, and I am running into 3 issues/questions...
1. What is meant by the phrase "tip-in" ? I am having a little trouble finding out exactly what is meant by this.
2. On the examples in the tuning manual, you can go to a table function under "Fuel injector" called " Fuel injector delay". In the actual program there are only two tables available to set, "Fuel injector firing order", and "Fuel injector port mapping", but no fuel injector delay...why is this? The example is with a GT with a different pcm code than the Mach 1 we are working on, but I can't imagine this would be the reason...
3. Is there any way we can hook up the cmr laptop to the car derectly to make changes to the car "on the fly" so to speak?
Sorry if these are simple questions, we are still trying to learn this software...
Thank you
