I am trying to learn this whole tuning thing by reading these posts, but the more i read the more i spinn in confusion. I retarded the spark advance in both area's by -4. The car seemed to run great during the day, but at night the pinging or knocking seems to come back when its a little cooler outside. I know i need to have my car dynoed and use a Wideband but right now dont have the cash flow. Im trying to get my car to run the best it can without messing up my engine.
What does this data log of mine say (Except give it up, and leave it to the pros) appreciate anyone comments or suggestions, thanks

I know very little about reading the data log but try blocking off the EGR Vacuum hose that goes to the EGR Valve and see if the pinging stops now it should set a EGR code after a good road test,, try that allso if it still pingz with that test i want you to put the stock tune back in your car, take it for a short road test then reboot the ecm in your car by disconecting the battery negitve cable
while the negitive cable is disconected turn your ign. on and step on the brake that will clear the memory reconnect the negitive battery cable,, then road test the car for a while and see if it pingz with the stock tune ok get back to us on what you find

Another thing is when you do a log make sure you monitor KNK ST and MAF V that is your knock sensor retard and you Mass Air flow voltage... Then I can give you a better analysis...

I blocked off the EGR hose, and took it for a test drive. Ping still existed, but no codes came up. Then I went ahead restored the original backup, test drove it again and disconnected the negative cable, turned key on and stepped on the brake to reset the memory. Slight pinging but very faint. Also, I couldnt find any KNK ST on the U7146 anywhere to log

Also, I forgot to mention I have a MAC CAI(modified) and Magnaflow 40 series mufflers

In ya booklet you got with your diablo tuner look for the knock senser bank 1 and bank 2 the Acronym is KS1 KS2
ok,, you have something going on that the diablo tuner is pronouceing.
but existing w/ ya stock tune. could be ya modified intake pipe raising hell with ya MAF OR you have faulty knock sensers.
load the diablo tune back into ya car get the info sohfast94 wanted once he see's what going on if anything with the tune he may want the tune that is in the car (diablo),,, one more thing is to make sure there are no vacuum leakz in your intake system from the MAF to the throttle body and right down to the cyl. headz no vacuum leakz none not even at the pcv valve make sure that rattlez and is not cracked

I have been throught predator and have found the MAF V but cannot find the KS1 the KS2 anywhere. Do i need to try downloading the revision 9ro5 again? Also when installing the 93 performance tune should i retard the timing 10% being that I am in AZ and only have access to 91 octane? I do also run the Lucas fuel conditioner with Mobil gas. Im will put the oem air intake on and see if that helps.

the diablo tune is for a minumum of 91 octane

there is allso a low octane adjuster under ya hood itz in the wiring harness pulling that plug makes a open circuit retarding the timing automaticly try that too an let us know if that stopz the detonation

Dont suppose you have a diagram of the location of that plug?

It's pretty hard to miss.... There's a hard-pipe coming from your headers.. Follw that to what looks like a funky looking metal diaphram and unplug it.
