Post by 700okie »

So are you guys close releasing the update to make the u7164 work properly on the reflashed truck. I still can't run anything but the extreme tune and even then the cruise doesn't work. Would like to know as soon as it is avaiable

No problem.. are your drivers installed for your USB to serial cable?

here's what I've got. When I open the DS downloader from the desktop icon it says there is an update avaiable. When I try to update it, a message comes up " an unknown problem has been found with the file download". It will give the option to veiw details, and it gives two errors. One is access denied and the other is download failed. Any ideas, I tried to reboot, that didn't help.

Ive been jacking with this thing for 3 hours. I finnally got the downloader software to pick up the predator, but now when I try to upload the CROM it says it wouldn't decompress.

yeah I've got vista. The other CROM files I have seem to work fine. The 9t05c is only one that won't decompress

I know this is probably very irritating for you guys as well but, it didn't work. When I tried the 9r05 crom it pops up freedom and predator not working. This was right after I reloaded the 9t04b crom to make sure it would upload completely, no problems with it. Is this on my end somewhere ???? I'll keep looking. I'll be glad when the puck shows up from the brown truck.

Can you do a crtl-prntscrn when it shows you the error so I can see what it says exactly?

The 7164 croms have multiple sections to be sent to the Predator, and it takes several minutes. You have to make sure you do not unplug the Predator prematurely, as the progress bar will sweep across several times and will appear to stop at a couple of points. Reboot your computer and try again from scratch.
