PREDATOR OVER B&G

Just ordered a u7137, I now am using a B&G custom tune on my pcm can the DS be used at all until the pcm has been returned to stock & can it be flashed or ?

If the calibration on the B&G PCM is up to date, you can tune it with the Predator.
If it is not, the Predator will prompt you to do a calibration update, which will flash it back to stock, so you may not want to do that.

Well if it flashes it back to stock ,isn't that good? then I can start over with the DS

yes, that's good... he was talking about it flashing back to stock, overwriting your B&G Custom tune - that you may not want to do that, and lose the B&G tune...

but, if you want to start from scratch anyway and don't want the B&G tune, then yes, flashing it back to stock is exactly what you want it to do.

Thats it then starting over! B&G was good but after I added a 3000 stall tc and stage 3 vb it wouldn't learn so as not to keep sending it back and fourth to mi. I'll start from scratch with DS. It will be a long haul and t&e with my mods but what fun.

the DSP would only reconize the present tune as my "stock tune" but it can be stacked for sure FYI which is fine with me it kinda makes the sky as the limit..........so far!

B&G added some to the DSP via e-m but I think it needs a dyno, so i'm stoping for now

We highly recommend taking the vehicle in to a dealer and having them reflash the pcm back to stock. The calibration update from the Predator does not always erase the previous B&G PCM flash 100%. Remnants on there can affect your future DS tuning. We chased issues on a few HEMI cars that had previously had B&G flashes on their PCM's which were erased by the Calibration update. After not getting any resolution to the issues, such as periodic stalling and rough idling, we did the full dealer connect reflash and then reinstalled the same exact CMR tunes and all the issues dissappeared. It's worth getting the PCM reflashed.
