HELP! Long list of problems

Post by Rosco83522 »

I'll start from the beginning. I have an 07 Magnum with the 5.7, I previously had an 05 I tuned with no issues.

I got the i3 Premium, hooked it to my computer and updated it, plugged it into the car and it said calibration file needed, went back to the computer and did that, plugged it back in to the car and uploaded then all seemed to be good. I uploaded the 93 cai tune, no problem, went to perimeters and didn't see the MDS delete or fan or fuel or spark.... pretty sure I should have all of those? Went ahead and turned traction control off.

Here's where the problems start, took it for a drive and my radio came on but with sound only, screen still turned off, I actually had to turn it on to get it to go off. Then if I actually turn the radio on, it will randomly shut off and come back on. While sitting waiting to make a turn with my blinker on, it stopped then started blinking again like I have a power glitch or something.

After a couple stops I started my car for a third time and noticed traction control was back on.

So I can't turn off MDS, traction control won't stay off and my radio and blinkers have a ghost controlling them.

I tried putting everything back to factory but the radio and blinkers still have the same issue.

Any idea? Thanks

1. MDS: this would be in the modify parameter menu, as opposed to the quick adjust menu. please confirm you are selecting this menu after selecting the tune you wish to load.
2. Traction control: this is designed to be a single key cycle based parameter, meaning, if you turn it off, it will come back on next time you start the car. As it disables ABS as well, we cant just let you permanently disable it. You can get a custom tune done that will disable it permanently if desired.
3. Issues in the vehicle...I dont have much to offer here. Nothing about loading a tune to the pcm should cause any of the issues you describe here, i'd check for any wiring issues or bad grounds. did you do any other work to the vehicle when you loaded the tune?

Thanks for the reply. I never thought about the traction control safety issue, that makes sense.

No other work was done before uploading, everything was working fine.

I have added a photo of my parameter options after loading the tune.

Is there any way to remove the calibration file? I have already restored my original tune back to the vehicle but the problems are still there.

Thanks

you do seem to be missing some params. Please contact our support team to get this resolved, 561-908-0040 or [email protected]

As for the vehicle issues, nothing you describe is the result of the calibration update, thats the same thing that happens when you go to the dealer and they update the pcm.
