Old tuner stolen before returning to stock

Post by Rafavez »

Hey All

I have a 2007 Mustang GT convertible, and unfortunately someone broke in and stole my old i3 Unit.

I purchased a new i3 to replace my original, but I did not get to return my vehicle to stock before.
So now when I try to put a tune on with my i3, it tells me that my car was previously tuned with a Diablo product and must returned to stock before I can tune it.

Is there a way to overwrite this, or to return my Mustang to stock without the original tuner?

Thanks

hmm, not sure what happened there. Of course I didn't save it, so give me a minute to redo it.

Thanks Mike. After installing this file, I got an engineer check light with error "pcm:p1000:obd systems readiness test no complete"

I tried clearing it twice in 2 different days, but the error comes back. Did I do something wrong?

Thanks

no, shouldnt be anything you did. P1000 is a generic code that is common after loading a tune but should almost always clear itself.

Try loading a tune and see if it goes away.

Thanks Mike. That error went away but now Im getting a P0605. Any suggestions? It seems like it may be an issue with the stock tune (corrupted), based on what I found in other forums?

Not sure if you can generate another file or something along those lines.

if you load a tune now, does the code go away and stay off?

I loaded a 87 tune, and then reverted back to stock because I'm planning to sell my car.

Doing it this way, the issue came back. Disconnecting the battery for 20min also did not help

can you load a tune, even modify stock, and confirm the code is gone?

if so i will gladly reset the device for you if needed.

Thanks for the quick response! Just confirming, what do you mean by "modify stock"?

Thanks!
