180 t-stat
do you have to run a 180 t-stat with the predator? or will the stock t-stat work?

RE: 180 t-stat
I am assuming you are talking about either a 5.7 or 6.1 LX car? The Predator uses stock fan settings so there is no requirement for the 180 t-stat.... Having said that, it is recommended that for maximum HP gains that you get a 180 t-stat at some point. The LX cars lose a little HP when they get hot.

They lose ALOT of HP when hot, especially the 6.1. The aluminum manifold heatsoaks badly.fordomatic69 wrote:The LX cars lose a little HP when they get hot.

any thoughts on what to set the fan settings at with a 180* t-stat(a/c on and off settings)?
I have an 08 Charger R/T, with a K&N CAI, Jet 180 thermo, and 91 CAI tune (Ver. 9r07)

How about 185* for low speed fans and 195* for high speed fans. I think the Jet is actually a 180* T-stat and not a 185* T-stat.
If it actually opens at 185* instead of 180* then do something like 190* and 200*. You can get a good idea of where the T-stat opens by where the car runs going down the freeway on a cool day (usually about 1* over where the T-stat opens).
