Trintiy testing

Post by Grumpy_Aero_Guy »

Upon entry into the market place, how many hours of actual production-unit testing in vehicles will have been completed?

we talking 10s, hundreds, or thousands..... ????

MANY hours on the bench before it even sees a vehicle, then MANY hours in each model vehicle.

Kev
how many hours in a "many"? or do you folks not formally track the numbers...

Not trying to be an a$$ here, but given some of the quirks that appear with current products and updates, I don't think this is an unreasonable question, ALSO given that it will cost significantly more than the predator, e.g..

I too fell victim to a Sierra boat anchor syndrome on an update. It was quickly resolved (thank you), but, ya hear where I'm coming from?

Torqing some folks off that spent $350 is one thing.... torquing some folks off that spent $799, is quite another.

Some = 10's...

Many = hundreds...

Several = thousands...

that's the new math...

or does it mean:

Some = i THINK we did it

Many = we DID hook it up once

Several = over 10

:D

You made my point precisely... many is subjective. What's many to me, may be little to you, and vice versa, hence my question...

Well, put it this way...
We have had at the minimum 2 engineers working full time on this project for at least the past 4 months (certainly longer than that).
Given 40 hours a week, we're talking 200 hours a month x 2 guys, for a total of 1600 hours of testing between the two of them, and thats just on the bench.
Last week they started flashing cars. One of the cars we have been flashing in house belongs to one of the engineers working on the project, so that should say something...

Then we still have a few weeks of in vehicle testing, and if its up to me everyone in this office will be spending a few hours of their day flashing a vehicle with a Trinity.

Thanks for the response. I must say, if it performs as advertised, it should be pretty sweet.

Yeah, I guess I overlooked one big thing when Frank and I started this discussion last week...

GM CAN is not scheduled to make the Phase I release, so it may be a little longer before we can even consider testing for you guys.
