Writing Over a Tune
I’m sure this has been discussed but I can’t find it; I have a 2009 Challenger rt has some mods like a Frp camshaft, cold air intake, long tube headers. I just brought a Trinity 2 and had a few questions. Since my car is cammed it has a tune from frp for that cam but I didn’t have the headers or cold air intake etc. If I put on a 91 octane and cold air intake tune will it mess up my current tune or will it work in unison. Also if I restore the vehicle on the tuner will it put it back to the tune I have for my cam or will it bring it to the factory tune? Thanks in advanced

Re: Writing Over a Tune
if it saves the current file as the backup, you can always revert back to it.
if the device prompts you to update the vehicle once you connect to the car, proceeding will load a stock file to the pcm and wipe out any existing tune.
I would not suggest running our 91 tune with an aftermarket cam, its likely better off on the current custom tune. Id suggest a new custom tune for the T2 once you have all the mods in place.
