Guys, there is a new update located here:
http://www.diablosport.com/index.php?mo ... lay&pid=11
This update was to add the new 2006 calibration updates and a few more Cold air kits. It's been up for a week now, just a reminder for those who didn't know.
The following Cold air intakes are now supported for V8 GT's:
80mm WMS
85mm Ford Racing Bullitt
90mm Ford Racing
AirAid (insert removed)
JLT
K&N
Roush
S&B
StreetSmart
Steeda
and we also included two more new ones, an 85mm and a 95mm for some universal applications out there that need support.
For the V6's we now support the following Cold Air kits:
AirAid
JLT
K&N
Roush
S&B
Steeda
as well as a universal 85mm tune...
Enjoy!

Use the 85mm universal tune. That should work fine.
K&N CAI Tune?

On my 2005 Mustang GT, if the K&N CAI doesn't require a tune by default, what does this tune "do" per se?
I have the K&N CAI and want to remove the hydrocarbon trap to make it less restrictive. Will this tune address that?

I am planning on running an airaid cold air system and filter and their spacer as well, would this be the tune for me??? I am new to this and looking for advice.

That link took me to the download page I have been looking at already and I think I already have that version in my diablosport correct? My tuner says it is 9r03

Ok, I'll try again.
What does the K&N CAI tune do if the out of the box intake does not require a tune?

Thank you for your resonses, I wasn't sure of how this worked as it was my first time doing something like this. Let me say this, the difference after installing the Airaid cold air system then doing the DiabloSport 93 oct Airaid firm shift setting is unreal.
Now to comment onlordscorpions reply,
Once I had my cold air installed but not tuned I started the engine just to see if everything seemed ok and it ran pretty rough. I then hooked up and installed the tune and now it is perfect. I do know that the ford system comes with a calibrater and after talking to a service tech friend of mine at ford, you need a tune with more air. I also did not use the restricter tube that came with the system.

is the C&L intake tune no longer available for the v6 with the new update?

Does the K&N tune require 91 octane???
What about the AirRaid (no insert) tune, does it require 91 octance as well?

Yes, I am curious about the ocatne as well on the K&N program specifically. You say in some posts that it is for 91 octane, but when you actually load the program, it says "requires 93 octane". Which is correct? I am putting this in a customer's car and he is about to drive away. Is it going to detonate on him?
Thanks,
Mike
