Dod/afm setting not saving - i3 L87 Sierra

Hello! I got a new I3 yesterday. I have a 2021 Sierra Denali with the 6.2L. I updated the tuner. Unlocking ecm and tcm went smooth. Installing the 91 octane tune went smooth. Modifying parameters and applying them to the tune worked great.

I noticed that the dod/afm setting was changed back to On. When I change it back to Off, confirm Yes, and select the option again, its On.

My quesion is: is this typical?

I have looked through the forums for the answer, so if its been answered please forgive me.

after you select to disable the AFM/DOD setting, then you have to install/apply the tune in order to make that change in the ECM... did you re-install/apply the tune after disabling the setting??

Thanks for the reply. I did and it still says On. I went back into the tune just now and the setting still says On. I tried to upload a video but it says invalid file type. But i go into dod/afm on/off. It says * On. I Select Off. confirm yes. And select the setting again and its * On still.

if it has an asterisk (*) next to it, that means you changed the setting... if it was still stock/on, there would be no asterisk next to it.. after you disable the setting and reinstall/reapply the tune to the ECM, then it will show an asterisk (*) next to it in the inTune, to show that you have changed the setting from stock...
