Model 7135, dodge magnum RT In the Autoshift Auto Upshift menu what is mode 1 and mode 2 -- I can't find anything in the manual

I'm here for exactly the same question. I did a search for "autostick auto upshift mode", and have many many pages in the search results.

Any link to where this post is that answered the question? It's not in the sticky regarding released revisions, and the manual hasn't been updated since just after release of the product, well over a year ago. The menu map spreadsheet linked by another user is also for a much older rev, so doesn't include that new choice.

The modes are just different settings that works on one vehicle but not the other, so we gave you the option of both.
Try mode1 first, if it works, youre done, if not try mode 2 or 3.

What are we looking for in these modes? Not knowing what they do, I haven't chosen any, and my '06 Charger R/T seems to be behaving okay (I do want it to auto-upshift), but I'm wondering what I'm missing. Just by virtue of the options having been added, it either solves a problem people have had, or adds a feature choice.

I found a mention of the modes in another thread, that referred to the behavior of the trans automatically downshifting even when in autostick (that is, not in [D]), is that it what these modes to? If so, that's not very intuitive, as the menu option refers to "upshift".

I'm not being argumentative, it's just that there simply isn't anything at all to go on, "mode 1" and "mode 2" are not at all self explanatory.

The mode, when enabled should prevent the trans from downshifting and upshifting when in autostick.
As i mentioned before, MY2007 and up will most likely upshift still when mode is enabled it will not however downshift.

mode 1 workedfor me if not try mode 2 and so forth.......
I believe that is how it is setup.

I like being able to rev out the gear without worriyng about shifting somtimes.. Makes power overs slides alot easier.

i tried mode 1 it worked then it will throw a code then stay in gear. then put it in mode 2 same thing...and thats all i have is mode1 and mode2. i have the v9r16 U7135 on a 2005 dodge magnum r/t..

What code?
