Truck will not start in cold weather
I cannot start my truck with the tune installed ! it is the latest tune from the website. I remove it and truck starts fine. It is like it is flooding it self just like the old carb jobs. It pukes out black smoke when if first tries to start i need to try like 3 times before it will start and then it runs terrible until it warms up .

-13 outside and -6 in the garage . It does not need to be plugged in at that temp and besides it starts fine with the stock tune installed.

Are those temps C or F? I usually plug in my block heater if it is going to get below 10F. But, I'm also having a miserable time trying to start at COLD temps when I have a predator tune loaded.iwantmorepower wrote:-13 outside and -6 in the garage . Those temps are c .I could start my truck without it being plugged in @ -25 c with only one cycle of the glow plugs and now I cannot get it to run @ -10 without trying the glow plugs 3 times. This sucks.

RE: Re: RE: Truck will not start in cold weather
Dealer says it is called heat inductive flash suppose to help with cold start issue. It is apparently a common thing here in the cold cold north. Brian can you build the same flash into a tune to do this ? Instead of me paying $150.00 to get the dealer to do it?
RE: Re: RE: Truck will not start in cold weather
Probably not. I believe alot of the newer updates are actually in the FICM. My truck would not start in the cold recently, but I had a bad FICM. Dealer replaced, updated and now all is good.
